<.< I got interested in Transformers because the idea of a Secret War of aliens disguised as everyday objects seemed like fantastic fuel for a Paranoia Fuel stealth-based conflict. But no, it's just an action series about giant robots who shoot each other. They're not "in disguise" at all.

It's been a long running joke in some circles of the fandom that the tagline "Robots in Disguise" is nothing short of a complete lie since both sides more often then not recognize each other on sight, and often have giant obvious logos pointing out what they really are.

And then there's the fact that they tend to be oddly rare / remarkable or unique cars or have stand-out paint job (When's the last time you saw a black and purple F-14 ?)

It's one of the few credits I can give the Bayformer films - in particular the first, that they do try to play out this "disguise" angle somewhat with the Decepticons at least.

Although, hilariously, the one that's a police car (Blackout? I'm bad with their names) has "To punish and enslave" where the standard "To protect and serve" goes.

That's both a gratuitous compromise of its disguise and needlessly over-the-top Card Carrying Villainy, to the point that it kinda Crosses the Line Twice and becomes funny.

The fact that they're going to be for the multiplayer content makes me less outraged but I still think they're bullshit.

I know, right? I was waiting for this game, but now I feel less exited about it. At last it is just for multiplayer (why there is even a multiplayer, anyway?).
