That was my point. People either don't have the money or don't WANT to spend money, especially if the thing they were getting used to be free. Sure, Jim can survive on Patreon since he has a dedicated fanbase, but how many other channels have the same thing? And would they be willing to give money to several other content creators at the same time?
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Even being generous - I give to SF Debris and The Dom Reviews. And that sets me back FAR more than cable subscriptions might. If I were expected to Patreon everyone whose channel I follow, I'd just give up youtube and go back to TV.
Review of Destiny 2 is up.
I think he likes it. Not sure why I think that though.
People are using mods to mod out Bethesda's bullshit paid mods. The mod to mod them out is the second most popular mod for Fallout 4.

Now they just need to add that to the creation club to complete the circle.
The foundation of existence will be toppled, the fabric of reality unraveled.
We some kind of Modception?
But Bethesda will force you to pay to get rid of the Creation Club.
Kinda like how Mobile games ask money to get rid of ads.

Uni catNew episode! And Drill Queen is back, too!
This video made me proud of being a League/WoT/Blacklight player. Suck it Triple-A games!
This land is peaceful, its inhabitants kind.. ∩(·ω·)∩ WAIT, is this supposed to be the mistress herself?Keep in mind the Couch Gag during the opening says "Don't get used to it," so we'll probably be back to Stressed next week.

And his elite duke character gets a weekly show starting Thursday!
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Gotta love me some Jim "get it right" Sterling, always a good watch. And on that note, excuse me as I install Steppy Pants.
The microtransaction train has no brakes. God help us all.
Jim on why Final Fantasy IX (recently re-released for the PS4) is the best in the series. He also reveals a dark, dark secret about himself namely that he is the one person in the universe who likes Tetra Master.
Casual RPG players need not apply to the first episode of Commentocracy, as Divinity: Original Sin fans get their...something...twisted in a wad.
Meanwhile, 2K tries to double down on microtransactions by going after a review site that was highly critical of said microtransactions.
I have always wondered how he gets away with having the Dynasty Warriors 3 soundtrack playing in the background of his videos.
It seems like the kind of soundtrack corporates aren't interested in going after people for.
Very simple copyright deadlock? Music vs. video?
I don't think Koei Tecmo really cares all that much.
Not Three Laws compliant.Jim Sterling asks: who needs publishers to make a successful game?
*sighs* I miss raven software.
We have reached a level that was previously thought to be impossible.
Description!
Won't be required now, as Valve finally removed one of the biggest hack studios in Steam history.
But is it really going to take THIS much for Valve to step in?
Warning: Announcing you plan to use save-states may induce mouth-frothing rage in other "fans".
You forget that a lot of folks simply do not have money.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.
