Also have a Jack the Ripper.

  • Name: Jack the Ripper, answers to "Assassin" as well
  • Age: Both emotionally and physically young, somewhere around 10-12
  • Sex: Female
  • Appearance: "M-M-Mother...?"
  • Chosen Power/Tech: These. Which are also incredibly hard to sum up in my own words so, um, yeah.
  • Faction: Mother!
  • World of Origin: The World of the Nasuverse
  • Personality: Jack is, at most times, extremely shy to an almost crippling extent. It takes a great deal of time for her to grow used to the presence of others, and she is generally more willing to speak to women then men. She will latch onto her master, if they are female, and treat them as a Mother, even referring to them as such. Her clothing embarrasses her, and she is very shy of going out during the day. While she's intelligent and quick to think, she seems to possess an innocence fitting of her appearance. However, her shyness is removed in a fight. She goes cold and unemotional in most fights, her attacks generally fast, vicious, and aimed to disembowel. Jack will refuse to fight other children, or harm them in any way. Other children are the only people, aside from her "Mother", whom she will freely associate with without shyly retreating. Harming, abandoning, or killing children will earn a rage-filled and crazed attack from Jack(unfitting for her class), who will stop at nothing to kill the perpetrator. Though she will also attempt to kill any people she perceives as bad, unless she is stopped by her Master. Betraying her trust is both cruel and a tremendously bad idea, as she is liable to attack with intent to kill in retaliation.
  • Bio: The perpetrator of a bizarre series of murders in Victorian London, the young girl never had a real name and therefore goes by what the public had labeled her: Jack the Ripper. After a string of madness-induced murders, she died of starvation and went on to become a Heroic Spirit, eligible to be summoned as a Servant.

So, um, thoughts?

Might as well get this ready too for next season.

  • Name: Female Gunner
  • Age: 20
  • Sex: Female
  • Appearance: Kiss of the Gun.
  • Chosen Power/Tech: Gunner is unsurprisingly good at shooting things, it being part of her job description. She can very accurately with her modified handguns as well as use hammerspace to call out her tools of the trade; robots, bombs, and bigger guns (genuine Empyrean tech there). She also apparently has unlimited ammo clips and can fight in hand to hand combat without her arms (pun not intended) due to her higher than normal reflexes and bodily strength. Unlike her defensive spear counterpart, she's made to play aggressively so she'll charge in closer than most other gun wielders will. Can job change into four potential specializations.
  • World of Origin: Empyrea
  • Personality: Formal and professional describes what Gunner is like most of the time, though it's quite easy to tease her. She believes in hard work and puts one hundred percent behind all her endeavors, though she likes being efficient and smart too. She likes children and machines, believing them to be the most wonderful things in life.
  • Bio: An Imperial Guard whose mission was to protect the Princess, she failed in her duty to do so. Now she aims to make herself stronger so as to destroy the Kartel and rescue her beloved monarch from their evil grasp.

Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.

[up][up]That's actually a pretty interesting version of Jack.

I am, of course, scared of her abilities, but I'm scared of pretty much every nasuverse ability, so that diesn't mean much.

Rain has to foot the bill for anything she does and, as noted, Rain's not got that much to spare until she gets to the later parts of the Second Magic, so Jack's restrained until later on. ^_^

Ciarán is going to Linkara's world. As soon as Oleg answers his question.

Jack's going to be interesting next season.

And by interesting, I mean "hopefully I can pull off when she goes from cute and shy to viciously disembowling the enemy well".

Option 2 for Rain:

  • Name: Rain
  • Age: Older than the 18 she looks.
  • Sex: Occasionally. Female
  • Appearance: Broadly this, only She swapped her coat for a matching Haori (so, no long sleeves) and outright took the sword from his body before less discerning (AKA: desiring to use it) scavengers could get it. She's considerably more athletic-looking than before, though still pale as hell. For some weird reason that seems to basically amount to disliking sandals of all descriptions and knowing modern footwear is inappropriate for Eastern swordsmanship, she tends to fight barefoot and grab the shoes afterwards if she can.
  • Chosen Power/Tech: Having chosen to overcome her terror of Berserker's stuff (because it finally sunk in after all was done that Mad Enhancement turned her into little more than a beast with a sword and For Someone's Glory actively destroys your identity for a while so no-one can guess) by mastering the sword another way, Rain has the following abilities:
    1. Master Swordsmanship: Having made her first priority 'get a good, non-magical sword', Rain has had years—hard to keep track of due to skipping between worlds, learning stuff, and disappearing and then practising in the item world—to perfect using the Monohoshizao, not that she'd be a slouch with any other similar weapon. After finally reaching a point where she could be described as a master, she got the sword reinforced—after all, she didn't want to lose the same way Fake Assassin did. Still, a large part of her training was given over to trying to cut a swallow in flight, which leads to...
    2. Tsubame Gaeshi: On level ground, this is an attack that attacks from three sides within a single stroke and, so long as the blade is undamaged, is an impossible prison: whatever you do, you get cut somehow. On uneven ground it's merely two strokes and extremely hard to get out of. Still, scary attack—and the result of trying to cut a bird. It's a sword-stroke that breaks reality.
    3. Magic Resistance: Magic, with no defence against it, is terrifying. This might just explain why Rain's clothes all have charms sewn into them and the half-dozen or so rings. It takes a lot of magic to bring her down, giving her time to get other people.
  • Faction: Meow Dynasty
  • World of Origin: World of Yuri Lilim
  • Personality: It seems that years of swordsmanship have calmed Rain somewhat, or maybe that's getting a girlfriend. However, that's like saying that the sea is slightly less wet in summer because of evaporation. Still acerbic, still prone to overreacting—she's just good at calming down with a sword in her hand. In a way, she's scarier now because she can actually do considerable harm to a person if she forgot what she was doing; swordsmanship is pretty much instinctual and she's willing to lash out when provoked.
  • Bio: After the events of season one, Rain removed the Berserker shard and gave it to April for safekeeping. Then she went looking around feudal Japan for a certain future-wraith's corpse, borrowing the sword. What followed was years upon years of training, interspersed with vast amounts of having fun in one way or another (even if the teachers enforced strict schedules, they couldn't stop transdimensional cheating) to lighten the load up. Eventually, though probably longer than Assassin himself took, she got Tsubame Gaeshi down. She's not really sure where to go from here—improve the sword? Find a way to buff her physical attributes? Most likely the latter, human flesh is only able to go so far.
As for her sister, April's possibly the richest being in the multiverse. She certainly has enough money to pay for the construction of a planet out of hand, then finding a genuine pirate ship and purchasing it before turning it into a spaceship. She doesn't like leaving the thing, though, with at least one room featuring both computers and excesses of books.

I like that one, Rain.

Mostly because Tsubame Gaeshi is awesome, eh-heh.

@GCR: But Jack's not even Japanese.

Also, how would Japan be to blame for a little girl being a serial killer in the 1800's? =P

It's something Ciarán wouldn't expect from Western Media.
