Yes. That is okay.
...Well there goes that idea. >.< Um... Hurm. Meh, guess I'll drop out anyways, seeing how I don't have any other ideas and any self-insert I make would end badly anyways. >.>
Very well. Although I thank you and Deadby for helping me flesh out the morality of the Red Pirates.
Ow, that shucks.
Name: George Healey
Age: 15
Sex: Male
Appearance: Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, glasses, normal body composition
Chosen Power/Tech: The ability to change jobs similar to Final Fantasy III
Faction: Red Pirates
Personality: A slight cloudcuckoolander, he believes that everyone should be happy all the time. He's also rather shy, and scares very easily. He also has a very narrow set of interests, brought on by his Asperger's Syndrome.
Bio: Born in Staten Island NY, moved to Rochester, NY. Discovered the shard that gave him his powers while he was walking home from school.
Is this okay?

Blue Pacific, signing off...Yeah. It will do. Just a quick note though, your character won't automatically join the Red Pirates, since they and Dai-Shocker haven't been seen by Earth. That and there has to be a person that the shard was taken from. Though I think I know who you mean.

Okay, good to know. The Red Pirates are the good faction, right?
Blue Pacific, signing off...Yes, in a sense. They just want to study the power and how it functions. So in a way, they're the good guys since they're not the one taking over the multiverse. Nah, that would belong to Dai-Shocker.
Alright, this should be fun. When do you think we're going to start playing?
Blue Pacific, signing off...Hm... I can get started now, or we can wait until one more person signs up. I don't want to start with too few people.
Do whichever you like. I won't try to rush you here.
Blue Pacific, signing off...Okay then. I'll wait for a few more days and see if one or two more people will sign up.
Awesome.
Would it be okay if my character automatically changed form when he first gets the crystal's powers? His reaction to turning into an Onion Knight would probably be hilarious.
Blue Pacific, signing off...Sure, why not?
Would all characters change forms once they obtained the cristals?
Well, they'll simply just obtain the knowledge and power of that person the shard belongs to. Unless that person has the ability to change clothes or anything like that (I.E. Magical Girls, Henshin Heroes, that sort) then yes, they can have a manual outfit change.
Knowledge would also include all of their memories? So, do we have to specify the moment on the series timeline where the characters we obtain the powers are on?

Name: August Lim
Age: 16
Sex: Male
Appearance: there we go◊
Chosen Power/Tech: Metalcrafting ( Specifically from Araris Valerian }. What this means in practice is that August has completely inhuman pain tolerance, reflexes/agility and emotional and mental discipline in addition to control over metal. This combined with knowledge gained from the crystal makes him a swordsman capable of impossible feats, though he's mostly happy that the secondary powers let him walk normally and uses his metal crutches or cane as a weapon.
Faction: None at First
Personality: August can at first glance seem charming and highly intelligent, though he has a tendency to talk too much or ramble and trip over his words if he gets too excited, giving him a scattered, absent-minded professor feel. Underneath though, he's endlessly stubborn and a little hot-headed, with a tendancy to let his emotions overwhelm him and take rash actions that later fill him with endless regret, and if he becomes passionate about something he can also get extremely hyperactive. Note that as an explicit part of his powers he can become capable of great emotional and mental discipline and thus engages what almost seems like a completely rational personality.
Bio: August was born with Cerebral palsy, and although intensive therapy and a series of surgeries was able to help him quite a lot, he still retained a painful limp and physically spastic tendancies. Growing up partially isolated through a combination of his circumstances and the cruelty of neighborhood children, he took to both writing and reading fiction as a means of escape. Now gifted with physical abilities that far surpass his wildest dreams and beginning to escape in a far more literal way, he struggles to adjust to his newfound freedom as an unfathomable conflict unfolds around him.

Shameless Self-promotion ho!Name: Troy Knight (a pseudonym, obviously)
Chosen Power/Tech: Gifted with a large, pirate-themed cellphone known as the Mobirates, Troy is capable of using this device together with small items known as Ranger Keys to transform into any of the 199 officially recognized Super Sentai members, gaining their abilities and powers. Though his primary Keys are that of GokaiRed and the Red Warriors', he can technically pull off any other transformation once morphed into that form. He will also receive a GokaiSaber and a GokaiGun along with the Gokaiger powers, letting him transform them into any one of the Sentai Warriors' weapons. (There is no GokaiGalleon, unless GM deems it to be otherwise.) However, there are several limits on this ability - he cannot access all of the powers involved, for all the team attacks are off-limits, save when logic dictates that it would not be so - for example, using a wall to absorb the recoil of Rising Strike would work. Also, the Keys are contained in a medium-sized chest, from which they are summoned through an unexplained technological phenomenon known as the Key Line. Troy will be able to summon the Keys from almost any point on the planet to his belt buckle - however, he must be aware of its precise location. If it has been shifted, misplaced, or stolen, he will be unable to summon the Keys within.
Faction: Red Pirates. Of course!
Appearance: See right.
Personality: (Again, altered from the original) Troy is a bookish, relatively quiet and polite person, who almost always tries to be courteous towards others. However, when animated about something (like his Super Sentai fandom, for example), he will often explode into a ball of hyperactivity. He is not that physically fit, though, and sees fighting as something to be reserved for video games.
Bio (Need I say it? Altered): Born of an American father and a Chinese mother in Singapore in 1996, Troy has since migrated to New Zealand, the land of Kiwis. His growing up was relatively mundane, and he has managed to gain a few scholastic achievements - but nothing worthy of real notice.

'Being around you guys makes me go "wtf" instead of pondering the ever increasing dread of time' - EchoingSilence, 2023I might still be in, I just may need to change my plans.
"Yup. That tasted purple."...Ok, just to clarify, we only get one piece of technology, right? Or can we have more than one, if it all fits a theme, like a morpher and a Zord, or a Portal gun, long jump boots, and a companion cube?

Yes, it might also contain memories, especially if they play a big role in the powers they use. And you can pick a specific moment in time of when the character got his shard extracted.
Sure, in fact I pretty much encourage explaining it in the RPG.
Well, one piece of tech depending on what it is. Your examples, only the morpher and gun are acceptable, but for something like the Mobirates, which require Ranger Keys to function, would be something of an exception.
Both of the characters are accepted by the way. And I'll probably write the opening post (along with two NPC profiles and my finalized character profile) sometime tonight or tomorrow.

WOOT! I'm gonna sign up, if that's okay.
Blue Pacific, signing off...
