Mech Assault is just Mech Warrior without the interesting parts.
Mech Assault is like Mech Warrior, but interesting
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/X is like Y but Z.
I'd eat the souls of 10000 humans to get a new Mechwarrior with a campaign and such :(
Will this be on pc? Even if I think mechwarrior without the complexity(and the games weren't THAT complex) would be pretty boring it can still be fun hopefully.
:)I wouldn't mind the Mech Assault games if they had taken the time to line up with the rest of the Battle Tech and Mech Warrior continuity. God knows how many newbies were confused when that game thought that the Mad Cat and Timberwolf were different mechs rather than the former being a reporting name for the latter.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.MechAssault is Mech Warrior horribly dumbed-down.
While they did claim they'd have the customization of the latter, it still seems an awful like the former to me just looking at the trailer.
In the meantime, I just have to hope that the new MechWarrior project is actually getting somewhere, or play the existing games in the meantime. While I'm all for new mech combat IPs as well instead of the usual Battletech, Heavy Gear, or maybe even Steel Battalion (even with Heavy Armor being largely In Name Only), I want them to actually make it feel like you're controlling a giant walking machine of destruction, not feel like a typical third-person shooter. That's the point of mech games, if you ask me.
Hey, Mech Assault was some of the best multiplayer fun I'd ever had on the Xbox 1.
Jonah FalconThe news of Day One Studios being involved raises my hopes slightly.
EDIT: Oh wait, I was thinking of Ready At Dawn. My expectations are low again.
