The story I am trying to write has a Beta Couple in it with a BST card going on between them. The girl is the class representative who resembles Hinagiku, and the boy is a mild Casanova whose antics serve as the girl's Berserk Button. Of course, she goes "He Is Not My Boyfriend" on anyone who gets curious.

Since the story is all about quizzes, the girl is the quiz team's Chemistry and English specialist, while the boy is the team's Physics specialist, "inventor" and resident Bunny-Ears Lawyer.

Part of the Character Devlopment I am cooking for the pair is that the girl gets really fed up with his excessive flirting towards other girls, and so tries to cut him off. He senses this and realizes her actions could do more harm than good for the team and decides to try and reconcile with her. Now, the promise of abstaining from contact with other girls is getting old, so how about reassuring her that he will keep coming back to her no matter how much he flirts with other women, and no matter how much they want him.

I'm aiming for a good twist on the usual love confession scene, but I'm not sure this would make a good premise.

[up] Your premise has been done well before, I'm certain. You'd simply need to set up the scene correctly, and preferably have a quotable line or two for the "confession".

Really? In what show? I would love to see that scene as inspiration.

Does it go along the lines of, "I will keep coming back for you no matter what. You cannot stop me from doing that. However, even if you're the ugliest girl in the world, I will keep coming back for you. No matter what happens, I will definitely end up with you, and that's definitely what I want."

I would like to add: The pair is one of the best quizzer pairs in my story, much like the Golden Pair. They are practically invincible when they play together, but somewhere in the story the team ran in some serious problems, and the rift between them is one of those.

I'm most likely to place this scene in our country's equivalent of the Kantou Tournament Arc, and it would probably the only arc where they will never play (due to their quarrel, of course).
