All-Purpose Nasuverse Fanfiction Thread

They had descriptions in the site I provided, aswell as ability and stat lists.

Squires are... basic melee units. Not very good, but they do have decent self-support and can be useful. Everyone but Special Units start here.

Priest is White Mage.

Calculator basically uses Math to screw over the laws of the universe and cast spells he sholdn't be able to, at impossible ranges and angles. VERY complicated to use it, but once you get it down, they rape the difficulty curve.

Mediators fight through words (and guns). They can tell you that you're going to die and you will die three turns afterward. They can lower and raise morale. They can also put you to sleep through boring lectures and even make you switch sides in an instant. Really useful mofos, as they can talk to and invite monsters and units.

Mediator and Calculator sound kinda broken. I'm guessing that's sort of the point.

They're not, really, they're not. Well, the Calculator might be.

The Mediator doesn't have very good rates for his skills, and he suffers from not being very mobile.

I'm glad you like it. Its a side project, but its still enjoyable to come up with those scenarios. Its also surprisingly good practice at writing Kotomine and Gilgamesh. Their real selves are just a bit less quirky.

That's the problem: There are a crapton of classes.

Arturia gets Knight, though. EMIYA gets Archer (crossed with Ninja). Kojiro gets Samurai (I've got Blade Grasp and 97 brave, bitch, you only have a 3% chance to hit me!).

Mozart as Bard. Cassandra for Oracle. Peter as Priest.

Oracle's are all about status effects through Yin Yang magic...

Also, St. Peter? Oh, then that settles it, Nero is showing up as Squire (Which pisses her off, she'd rather be Dancer) and there we have a subplot!

Bards sing. And play the harp. But their skills are through singing. Mozart could be the 'weird one' out of the class, sure, but...

Alternate Priest: Buddha, before he achieved Nirvana.

Buddha can't be summoned, because he transcended the cycle of souls. The only reason he can be summoned in Extra is because it's a copy made of data and not the real one.

Hence from before he became the Buddha - Timey-Wimey Ball is in effect for this suggestion.

Alternately, Mother Teresa.

Beyond that... maybe one of the Greek Muses for Bard? I'd specify, but can't recall the specific name.

Bard is Male-Only.

Also, Peter works. His Noble Phantasm is the Keys Of Heaven. They basically spontaneously send you to heaven, instant-kill if you don't have the willpower to say no to eternal bliss. Extremely prana-draining, though.

I also considered Rodrigo Borgia. But I'm actually considering him for Oracle, and he'll be the one to blame for Dracula... existing.

Buddha's soul is impossible to reach. And he'd have no wish, he's the mothereffin' Buddha, so why would he fight?

Also, Li Shu Wen gets Monk, Guan Yu gets Lancer and Robin Hood gets Thief.

Summoner is, of course, Elijah. Wait, it was Elijah who summoned a pack of bears to maul a group of disrespectful morons, right?

Longinus works better as Lancer, indeed. Having as many characters with connections as possible makes the plot that much easier.

Actually, I did kinda consider Future!Shirou as Mime. But Mime actually copies anything the allies do (translated to being able to copy any ability ever seen once... but only once, and at the cost of having no abilities of your own. The class does have insane base stats, though.), and Shirou is not Shirou without projection.

I seem to have a vague recollection of someone from Celtic mythology being able to screw with time, but that's all I remember about it...

Wait, is Lancer Guan Yu or Longinus? The time of your edit and your subsequent post are leading me to confusion.

Again, I was thinking of the Mime class in FFV, where they copy the last allied action... and can continue to repeat that same action ad nauseum until an alley takes a different action. Which even includes Miming the Mime.

Time Mage: Chronos. He gets bonuses for high Divinity, but penalties for being obscure compared to the rest of the Pantheon.

I'm guessing that Wizard is Black Mage? If so, how about Morgana?

Looking over that list, I'm kinda surprised FFT doesn't have a Berserker class. Kinda disappoints me, really.

Why have a 'Berserker' class when 'Berserk' is a frakkin Status Effect? Yes, the Oracle can spontaneously inflict Mad Enhancement on someone. So can mediators, for that matter. And Beowulf.

Mimes in FFT copy the last allied action, whatever it might be and with the exact same targetting parameters. Meaning, if the attack is targeted two squares to the left of the attacker, then the mime targets two squares to the attacker's left. Hard to hit with non-auto-target moves, though useful with them. Very useful for doubling the amount of dances, songs and calculator attacks that go off. It also has great stats. The problem lies on it having, well, no abilities of its own.

The 'Mime' class can actually mimic any action they've seen performed, even if it requires an item they don't have, without a prana cost, but only once per given action and only with the amount of power the original used. So, even though they essentially have 'unlimited' prana at their disposal, the mime would only be able to use Enuma Elish with the exact same amount of power Gilgamesh used, same with Excalibur and anything else. They could also copy Reality Marbles, but again, it'd last the exact same time that it lasted when the mime originally saw it. And something like UBW would be completely useless since the Mime would only be able to use projection once.

Well, FFV and FFX 2 still have a Berserker Class and the Berserk status ailment.

Hrm. From FFV, if I recall, the Mime's targeting is random unless it's a full-party thing like a Summon. In addition, FFV Mimes can use the abilities of three other classes if they've been mastered by that character. So a Mime can Doublecast Bahamut and then the other Mime can copy that, and the copying is in turn copied by all the other Mimes in the party....

Conclusion: FFT Mimes are much less useful than FFV Mimes.
