So let's talk about sex...

Seriously, got some music stuff to talk about? Let's discuss it.

Basically, Yackfesters want to talk about music with other Yackfesters, and I'm tired of Fetishes being the Yack Fest Music Thread.

Over a decade since their last album and RHCP managed to actually not fuck up. It's not as good as Californication(obviously) but it's still a great album. This is probably my favorite track, but I do like "Monarchy of Roses" too.

So it's like the music board, only with a total disregard for staying on topic? I'm down with that.

Ow, my childhood! DX Why do I keep listening to this? Oh yeah, because it's awesome.

N.P.

I’d enjoy the album a lot more if the band didn’t insist on having the sound quality be as crappy as possible.

I think this thread should be more than just "here's a song/i can't get this out of my head". We should have discussions. Discuss what people have posted, be it positive or negative. We have threads just to post what you're listening too...this is a music thread...so I also think we can talk about music in general; its progression, favorite instruments, etc.

So, what's the point of this, exactly? There's already a chatterbox for random music discussion.

blah blah blah reactionary thread to divert derails from X thraed to another thread blah blah blah it won't get more than a few posts, tops, because of ingrained user attitudes blah blah blah even if it does, it won't stop fetishes from derailing, because lolfetishes blah blah blah

That thread is in Music. This thread is in Yackfest. That is a valid difference.

Epic intro is epic. I love the country sound to it, even though the lyrics are so contrary to usual country lyrical subjects. Anyone else have any thoughts on it?

Also, love the music video for it, haha. The crowd acts just like a usual Southern crowd would probably act like when confronted with music by Bright Eyes. And yes, Conor looks almost exactly like Snape from Harry Potter in this video.

[up][up]This thread is just meant to absorb Music derails in YF, because some people are worried that the people in Music will laugh at them for what they listen to, which we won't BTW.

Unless it's really terrible.

I think it's simply force of habit. I like Music, but I know I'm too lazy to click on our subforum unless I'm really bored.

With that said, I still think that creating this thread won't help the problem at all and it's practically useless as most people are not bound to discuss music and just post videos about what they like and maybe pimp an album they like or something.
