Sugita can be as hammy as he damn well pleases, so who knows. After spending the last season as a somewhat watered-down Kyon, this is probably making any day he gets to record.

Been lagging behind on Symphogear GX the past few weeks…don’t know why since this is my favourite series yet.
As far as episode 7 went, it was rushed and choppy but it wasn’t as bad as some people made out. From the reactions I saw I spent the episode waiting for Maria to do something irredeemably awful that gave the Autoscorers everything they wanted on a plate and then get shipped off somewhere as punishment…which might be why it didn’t bother me so much come to think of it. Kind of sad how much hate Maria gets though, she’s one of my favourites. Nice to see her getting over the worst of her problems, even if it could have been done a lot better. Hibiki’s dad turning up was a big surprise, nice to see he’s still a stand up guy.
Episode 8 was again a bit rushed, albeit not as bad. Like Maria I’m glad they sorted their issues out, and it was done in a more satisfactory way which is a bonus. Genuinely looked like they were going to kiss at the end there, should have known better than to get my hopes up though. Hibiki’s dad continues to suck.
Episode 9…had some real Umineko level family stuff going on there. Poor Tsubasa, and her brothers for that matter. A lot of people are saying that her dad's not so bad now and he isn’t compared to what he seemed to be, and his intentions were good and all, but…he went about it in one of the worst ways possible. He’s probably screwed up Tsubasa for life to some extent and certainly screwed her up majorly for the last decade; granted he’s probably not all that emotionally well adjusted himself so he can’t be blamed to a large extent, but still…someone really needs to give him some serious parenting advice.
Phara’s death was delightfully creepy, props to her for having the creepiest facial expressions of the Autoscorers so far. And as for the ‘special guest’ at the end…boy I wish I hadn’t accidentially seen a screenshot of him on Twitter. Probably would’ve been the biggest ‘wtf’ moment of the entire series. Here’s looking forward to the 10 million ridiculous facial expressions to come.
