What are you saying exactly? That "scrub" means other things too? Nobody says otherwise. The article even says that.
I am pretty sure the most common definition is the abrasive rubbing thing.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. From the Music/TLC entry on this wiki:
This Wiki is not an encyclopedia.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.pawsplay no one is disputing that "Scrub" also has other meanings besides the one used on the trope page.
Simply quoting times when it's used with another meaning in another context does not support your assertion that it's misleading, though.
To do that, you need to point to actual evidence that it's being misused — bad wicks, bad potholes, more than one person saying "Oh, I thought it meant...". That's evidence of a misleading name.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Indeed... arguing that it has other definitions is a bit moot when the current one is also correct. We're not in the business of saying that a word can only have one definition (and we'd be pretty hard-pressed to enforce such a thing, even if we were).
The most I could say is that this might need a redirect or two, but beyond that, I don't see any issue with this one.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I think there's no consensus to rename this, but I would not object to running a crowner to find out for sure.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! Is "scrub" in the TLC sense already covered by another characterization trope?
Any interest in renaming to Scrub Gamer?
Why rename it at all?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. You have to make a case for renaming before any action is taken. I see no case here, only an assertion that you don't like the name. That's not enough. I'm locking this so we can have room for more substantial TRS issues. If you want to make a new thread for it when you have a more comprehensive case to make, please feel free to do so.
