Big difference from the Smash poll is that, unfortunately, in order to vote you actually have to play the game at the arcades. Which most of us here unfortunately don't. Friggin' ASW.
I'll just have to hope that Baiken's fans are dedicated enough.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughRaven though.
I've been waiting years for it to happen.
I still can't get into Jack O. Like her design isn't coming together the way it should. It doesn't feel coherent to me.
So some things i've observed from watching footage of the game:
- Characters actually get anime style scuffs and bruises during fights.
- Johnny's new Overdrive allows him to steal two objects from his opponent to use as coins. The object he takes depends on the character. May has Johnny dolls, Leo has his dictionaries, Sin has meat, and Johnny has erotic magazines.
- Leo fights Johnny at the end of his Arcade Mode. Like Blaz Blue Chrono Phantasma, there's no real set end boss, and the fights all have a universal boss theme. Unlike Chrono Phantasma, the end fights have the characters in a boss mode, similar to Ramlethal in SIGN. Luckily, X2 Gold Johnny is not his boss mode (So no OHK Mist Finers). However, That's My Name (The overdrive where he slashes a J into his victim) now hits about 8 times (And HURTS. Like, 60% health. Even worse was that Johnny uses it in his combos), and his stealing Overdrive now takes four items from his victim.
- Slayer fights Millia as his rival fight, and Zato as his boss fight, with the goal of training them after their loss to Bedman. Zato uses the same boss mode he used in SIGN.
- The new ending theme is a soft piano song. However, the video I watched cut it off about a minute in.
- Cinematic animations have improved. Characters show more movement, and it looks more fluid.
- Images have surfaced of a large, musclebound character◊ who resembles Gouken from Street Fighter IV. This is, however, a ruse. It's a costume worn by a buxom Japanese lady nurse named Tuner. May is somewhat surprised by the truth.
Alot of these observations came from this video, if others are curious. (Link was on the Dustloop thread, so my thanks goes to them)

A corpse should be left well enough alone...As long as they aren't too unfair, I like how they're handling arcade mode bosses in Revelator. Of course, since this is a fighting game they'll probably be bullshit hard, incredibly cheap, and unfun to fight.
That being said, the boss music is awesome. Sounds kinda like a combination of Misadventure and When Life Comes.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterI dunno, fighting games have been getting better about that recently. Then again, my frame of reference is Corrupted Shinnok in Mortal Kombat X who wasn't TOO hard, apart from his 0 Frame fullscreen laser. Boss Ramlethal in Xrd could be a bit schitzo with how hard she was, but she wasn't as bad as Boss I-No in X2.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...So... uh... does any of you guys ever watch my videos about ASW characters? Where my moniker Oddball Gamer comes from and Handsome Rob nearly lynched me for it?
Well, uh, here are the videos for you to enjoy (the first video has undergone a remaster for better audio compared to the past). Leave a comment or two if you have account there, maybe comparing who's your favorite ASW characters or commenting my choices. (You can also find my channel over there. Still small, but will grow outside ASW as well!)

So, according to an article, the results of the Guilty Gear ballot trial poll are in. And leading as number 1 is none other than Order Sol. He's followed by Baiken, Bridget and Dizzy.
According to google translate, the real poll will begin late September.
EDIT: Okay, my mistake, it was an unoffical poll. Disregard it for the most part.

A corpse should be left well enough alone...Baiken being that popular gives me immense hope.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Holy Order Sol would be such a disappointment.
I think it's less for his character or design and more for the fact that he was a character a lot of top Japanese players used.
This seems like less of popularity poll and more which player gets their character back.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. Can't say I'm surprised by the fan poll's results. All but one of the top four have a character-wide gimmick that could be interesting to see when combined with Xrd's alterations, and the one that doesn't is one that ASW has been teasing mercilessly.

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Just to be clear, who have they been teasing mercilessly?
One Strip! One Strip!Dizzy.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiAnd our first piece of footage is none other than her Instant Kill.
EDIT: ...and a glitch.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiHer IK is pretty ridiculous, even by this game's standards.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Eh. It's not very different from her XX one, so it doesn't seem that flashy to me.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.So... yesterday I decided to try and play the Survival mode for the first time. I went with Ky.
I was doing pretty well, I was initially aiming to level 50, but I reach 120 and almost won but Black Potemkin pulled out a victory at the last minute.
How far does it go if I may ask?
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Friend of mine made it to about 500 Slayer.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.@ Faust: Heh, personally I don't believe Potemkin is all about brute force at all.
Watching high level Potemkin play (I highly recommend looking up the player FAB), there's a certain grace to Potemkin play, and intelligence and reads become way more important if one wants to do well with the character.
Brute force is more Sol's or Leo's (unga) thing.
"Shake the dust." - Anis Mojgani
Oh shit, Ishiwatari is pulling a Sakurai!?!
Hope this means I get to see Testament again! I always main as that guy just for the fact I get to make the battlerfield into my own personalize death trap.
. . . Though, then again, Robo Ky is a classic and his appearance in the game would always spark interesting character interaction.
