I like the idea of Just Shoot Him as a brazen "I've had enough of this bullshit" character personality type stuff. We need more No-Nonsense characters. Not a dominating presence of them, but throw some of them out there once or twice a gen.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Sol Badguy's pretty much a "No-nonsense"-type character.
Not really? His first "sword" looks like a giant slab of concrete, and all of the swords he made himself are more like giant superheated slabs of metal than actual swords. Plus, slamming a sword into the ground like he does for Gun Flame is generally not a good idea.

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. His personality practically reeks of "no nonsense" though, even if he's generally lazy. As far as his swords go, he's a lot like Guts in that is inhuman strength allows him to cut things even with a blunt object.
Sol Badguy's artwork and personality don't always match up IMO. When I first saw a pic of him(the one where he's licking his blade) I thought he was the main bad guy lol and looked like a sinister psychopatch who loved wrecking havoc. Then in the games he's basically Jotaro as a science-knight lol.
Is this◊ the artwork you're talking about?
Yup. It'd be a flawless piece if Anji's chin/jaw was a bit less gawky.
Sol's artworks and actual personality have never been consistent, it's kind of hilarious really. In artwork, he ranges from laid-back and easy going to something of a Blood Knight with those Slasher Smiles of his.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. Also, this fighting style in itself is pretty in character for Sol, i think.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Oh Jesus, I never get tired of watching Kusoru in action.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Hmmm... I think when Schitzo said "No-nonsense", he didn't mean a character in general. He meant a gun-wielding character that has a no-nonsense personality with the Combat Pragmatist mindset. Something like the Indiana Jones scene on the trope picture.
Because when I looked at Elphelt, what crossed my mind was like "This is what happens when you transplant Noel Vermillion into Guilty Gear." Well, Dizzy is absent...
I have no problems with Elphelt, but I just predict that I think she's going to be pretty popular, now that I think Noel popularized the 'shy, kind girls with guns' archetype.

Well Elphet is described at having a sweet personality....just using guns.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. What, you're saying Noel does not have a sweet personality? I thought that was the general consensus. Although I admit, the first time BB was leaked, everyone thought Noel was just this 'badass gunner' and comparison was instead on to Millia who instead has the more no-nonsense personality.
Well, he is a merciless Bounty Hunter(despite only having two games where he does any actual bounty hunting.) so I guess artworks where he's flashing slasher smile's are supposed to represent that side of him.
What? I thought we were talking about Elphet being a coldhearted Combat Pragmatist?
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Huh? Where was it confirmed that she's a Combat Pragmatist? You were right when you said she has a sweet personality, but that Combat Pragmatist trope isn't implied anywhere. Also, as I was saying, Elphelt's sweet personality, usage of guns and overall cute looks just brings Noel Vermillion in mind, something like an Expy.
Probably that's just me though.

I think it's just you. I think of "whiny" and "pathetic" when I think of Noel. Honestly this new sickeningly cute thing (outside of a clever gag) doesn't seem much more appealing.
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.Yea, people like to jump the gun on character designs these days :V
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. All aboard the Hype Train:
Sin and Elphelt gameplay.
Sin honestly seems pretty tame, just find opportunities to charge your hunger meter and use his special moves. Not much. Elphelt is definitely more interesting, she's basically a hyper-anime Chris Redfield. I might try her out when I play, though the obnoxious waifu bait thing is going to be annoying.
Chipp'd.
Sin is pretty meh right now, but the red lightning looks really cool. Elphelt has strawberry grenades, I love her already.

Sol has his vastedge clothes...interesting.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm impressed. That trailer actually got me excited for what's gonna happen in Xrd story-wise.
Sin's hunger mechanic seems to really put him at risk with that long recovery animation of his whenever he runs out of bar or uses a special without bar. I hope his advantages are strong enough to outweigh that.
I also wasn't expecting Elphelt to be able to move around while her guns are out. That's certainly interesting.
"Shake the dust." - Anis Mojgani
I don't mind.
Just that plain gunplay is boring by comparison.
