To keep our setting from being too much like Wild Cards, we could say that indeed, EVERYONE on Earth now has powers... but some powers just aren't likely to be discovered as early as others. Superstrength? Easy to notice. The ability to breathe water? Not so much, unless you try to DROWN for some reason...
Also, there would be no "Jokers" (disfigured people) unless a power simply cannot be physically hidden (eg, wings.)
But yeah, the fact ALL humanity has changed will come out some time, especially when the people with the super-senses starts being listened to.

Hey there. I like it sofar, and one of the rpers possibly decending to the darkside of superpowers is a interesting road. If you have any plot ideas in your head feel free to pm me that, any in-depth details, or anything else. My PM box is always open. This story is mostly written by you, or at least that's the plan i think.
Vyctorian hasnt updated the OP (no offense), so a few things before we continue.
1) we have a trope page, for more infomation, as well as all those other trope things that trope people do.
2) Vyctorian retired as GM, Nicktendonick (aka me, at least i think i'm me) is the new GM

4) the big one. This story does not take place in the states. It takes place in a fictional small island off the coast of the main island of japan. So well, you might have to explain how a non-japanese is here (others have).
5) You dont have to be a member of the 2012 club if you dont want to. Though according to Vyctorian's rules, students have to be in at least one club (the 2012 club doesnt count, as it's a secret club Inoue runs,)
And now reading that trope page of Wild Cards, i do sorta see(though, i originally saw that the majority of man gained superpowers, not a minority). I need to ask you all a few questions about how far and deep "the event" changed things. (I'll take that to the discuession page)
