I really like how the snow and ice will look unnatural in this movie to reflect the snow queen's influence. And I wonder what the dynamic between Anna and Kristoff will be like since he's described as not understanding women. Maybe 'cause he's a mountain man, he hasn't been around women very much and doesn't understand their feelings?
They just put wigs on Rapunzel and Flynn and called it a day.
That really contradicts the "not understanding women" thing as Flynn was NOTHING if not someone who understood women and how to manipulate them.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. It's kidna hard to make out details, even when the image is enlarged, and it is just concept art. They might look radically different. Even in the picture, I couldn't get a good read on Anna's face, and Kristoff's actually reminds me of one of Flynns older designs (when he was supposed to be larger.)
Jonathan Groff of Spring Awakening and Glee is playing Kristoff.
It's been rumored for a while, and Disney's finally confirmed it. Not really the voice I pictured when they described the character, but hey, maybe it'll work out.
Looking for some stories?Beat me to it!
Of course, he can sing. All Disney leads need to sing.
Not true. Lots of Disney movie leads have had singing doubles. Aladdin, Jasmine, Mulan, Shang, Simba; those are just the ones off the top of my head.
THAT WAS sarcasm.
Then pothole it next time
Ok, so one thing that has confused me for a while is this summary: "When Anna is cursed by her estranged sister, the cold-hearted Snow Queen, Anna’s only hope of reversing the curse is to survive a perilous but thrilling journey across an icy and unforgiving landscape. Joined by a rugged, thrill-seeking outdoorsman, his one-antlered reindeer and a hapless snowman, Anna must race against time, conquer the elements and battle an army of menacing snowmen if she ever hopes to melt her frozen heart."
The bolded parts are what confuses me. Other summaries mention Elsa cursing the kingdom to eternal winter, but does this summary imply that she cursed Anna as well? Did she curse Anna to slowly lose her emotions or is Anna trying to melt Elsa's frozen heart?
Don't need to pothole everything you know. There is a grain of truth to the statement, but obviously not all disney leads sing.
Does remind me when they were originally going to make Toy Story a musical(which the writers and animators said wouldn't work for a buddy comedy). I actually would be curious as to how that would turn out.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living things"Ok, so one thing that has confused me for a while is this summary: "When Anna is cursed by her estranged sister, the cold-hearted Snow Queen, Anna’s only hope of reversing the curse is to survive a perilous but thrilling journey across an icy and unforgiving landscape. I've never heard the first part come up again whereas the second has remained fairly consistent. It could be the media misreporting things, I suppose. Anna being cursed doesn't seem to make much sense. Of course, we won't know for sure until more details emerge.
DogmanYou know, with the lead character having been named Anna and the ridiculous amount of Adaptation Decay, I can't help but think of Family Guy's interpretation of The King And I
Oh, I can't wait until they add a pointless romance subplot that was completely absent from the original. That interview just confirms that's pretty much what Kristoph is.
Maybe we'll get super lucky and they'll pull a Brave, but not likely. They've reconfigured the original to fit the cliche mold way too hard for that level of originality.

Those designs are terrible. This deal keeps getting worse all the time
I got word just now that these are NOT the final designs, but they are on their way toward them.
Designs look very mousy, like Tangled.
I am completely okay with this.
I actually really like the designs. They have enough differences to separate it from Tangled and the faces seem pretty stylized (especially Elsa).
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.I like Anna's design. It looks very "northern" without looking generic, if that makes any sense. Elsa I'm not as fond of, but that could because she has a slight Dreamworks Face going on. I was also under the impression that her hair was going to be blue, but that's neither here or there.
Yes, it definitely seems like they're using the Tangled aesthetic...which is alright i guess..
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsThere's a very good reason modern version are different from the original. That said, I wouldn't want it to be lightened to the point where it's just sappy. I would rather she had a heel face turn or at least didn't die this time.
Erm, why is Anna cross-eyed in that picture? That's the only thing that prevents me from liking it. I think the designs look okay, personally. I'm cautiously optimistic about this film.
Since that interview has both directors, that should kill off the rumor that Buck was replaced.
