Seriously, 94% on Rotten Tomatoes is nothing to sneeze at. (A lot of people are crediting this to Brad Bird—this is the first live-action film he's directed, and it's apparently got a very stylized feel, similar to one of his previous works.) I'm going to go see it tomorrow evening.

I'm planning to double it with Tintin (since both are splitting IMAX screens until January 19th).

I thought this was to be expected with Brad Bird and everything (It also gives a lot of people hope that Andrew Stanton can deliver on John Carter Of Mars)

Other than that I hope to see this as soon as I see the third.

I was similarly surprised. I probably will see it eventually, even though I passed on 3 because of how 2 was awful.

Brad Bird's the whole reason I went to see it, just like JJ was the whole reason I went to see #3. And let me tell you, after watching it, I can say without any doubts that Ghost Protocol is by far my favorite one of the bunch. grin

I actually felt a small urge to stand up and shout 'YES!' or something when the movie hit the finale of the climax. Can't remember any time I've ever had that happen to me before.

It has Jeremy Renner. No movie with Jeremy Renner can be bad.

Just saw it yesterday on IMAX. Holy crap was it intense. I was seriously on the edge of my seat when he was climbing the tower in Dubai. once again, Brad Bird delivers. Hopefully this will help to relaunch Tom Cruise's career.

Also, Jeremy Renner is one of the best action hero actors period.

I've never seen 1 through 3, but I got the feeling 4 was lovingly parodying them at times, and respectfully homaging them at others.
