I have a few friends who are absolutely convinced this is a (very good) fake. So I don't know.

They're off the streets now, and back on the road on the riot trail. http://www.last.fm/user/sca_punk

It's completely legit. I saw the whole thing unfold. Guy had a friend whow orked for EDM who ripped it for him.

I even contributed to the cover art

It's apparently a real single, that some guy posted on /mu/, where it was renamed via dubs.

He posted in samples just to fuck with us, then evntually posted it, along with his dubs choice. he hit it on the psot nayways, and the name stuck.

So from all of the songs they recorded for The Bends, they left the one song that doesn't sound like "Thinking About You" or "Creep" off?

Seems as if they were trying to keep the tag of being "those guys who sang Creep".

Okay, aprraently it's not actually Radiohead. A band I cannot remember has came out and claimed the song themselves.

I used to repost everything I saw on /mu/ like you, then I did a reality check.

Huh, I've never thought of that album as a bunch of "Thinking About You" or "Creep" clones. I mean I guess most of it is either mellow throughout or else uses the whole loud-quiet-loud thing, but that's about it. And I know they're both kind of outliers, but I can't see "Planet Telex" or "Street Spirit" as sounding anything like those songs.

I'm kind of curious as to who actually did this song, because it sounds pretty good.

I can definitely see how this song could have fooled people. This sounds very much like it could have been put on The Bends without anyone noticing the difference. It's a pretty neat song, at any rate.

And there ain't no one goin' to turn me 'round.
