It takes place nearly 10 years after G.U, so it's not likely to be Haseo himself, but it's still too early to say anything.

Hmm, looks like Cyber Connect 2 is taking a few cues from their newest capcom related project, because Haseo looks rather angry right there.

Haseo always looks angry.

Haseo was the angry guy with the avatar of death. Yeah. Nothing new.
His response to the girl he kinda likes dying? KILL KILL KILL!

Actuallyshe didn't die she just went into a coma. She's even in the epilogue of Reminisce,and you can have her in your party afterwards.

I mean, he looks even angrier than usual.

She was as good as dead at the time. He visited her comatose body in the real world and everything. I only watched .//Hack ROOTS though, I never play GU, so I didn't know she ever got better.

Demon. Dude. Once Haseo stopped being an entity of pure angst, he went around murdering anything that crossed his path, though mostly player killers. He was still 99% angst, but he was directing it in a very angry and violent direction.

He looks more sadistic than angry to me.

I'm pretty sure at one point he took out an entire P King guild.

He can be sadistic at times. Especially in the first game.

There's your problem. You only watched the prelude to the story.

Well, he's pretty angsty and angry in the prelude. I mean, mass internet murder requires some level of anger, right? That's all I needed to establish. That he had an anger problem before now. I wonder if entities like Azure Kite are still floating around. Or did the Azure entities die?

The Azures are actually good guys who are simply trying to protect the game.

Oh, I know what the Azures were. I was interested enough after watching ROOTS to look that up. I didn't have my PS 2 at the time, though, and I didn't think I would ever get it back, so i never bothered buying the GU series. I started the manga, but they stopped selling it at my local bookstore after the second volume.

Game Story>Manga Story. Ive read the manga too and it seem to outright ignore most of the events of the game in favor of a compressed version of the story. You have to play the games they're amazing!

Depends on your idea of a reasonable price though. Considering how old they are by now I'd pay no more than $15.00 for each one right now.

I pulling a double "Is this really happening?" on the facts that CC-2 announced that Link would be their last .hack game ever and that a series this unpopular outside Japan has more posts in this thread than the Professor Layton thread does.

And what are the chances this game becomes No Export for You? (not even gonna mention the unlikelihood of online play)

At least if they would release a title for this game like they did with every other one.

QUARANTINE is sold almost everywhere for ~$40 atm.

Quarantine had like seven copies produced that are just traded around between people as they finish the game. The other six games in the PS 2 set are much more common, and much cheaper.

I need a bit of clarification: isn't this new movie coming out suppose to be a reboot of the series?
