[up] Not really, I just meant in general. I'd consider myself pretty much caught up, and I'm still not exactly sure what's going on in every single plotline. But then, I'm not involved in all of them at once either.

And also, who said anything about keeping the plots separate? I thought the fun was in having them cross over with each other and tie together at various points.

Okay, I've run some things with daltar and I'm here to present to you the first official religion of the Hercine universe! The Church of The Hand!

The Church of the Hand is based around the Hand. A group of five individuals that according to the belief was created by The First, the being that created the world and all living things and then withdrew himself but not before creating the aforementioned individuals to teach the people how to live and how to treat the dead with respect. These five were called The Hand or individually Fingers and they each represented an Aspect of life: Death: Handle burial rites, speculate and debate on what is beyond this world.

Nature: Treats with the natural world, weather, harvest and such.

Life: Treats with good fortune, healing and family matters (mostly births).

Justice: Deals with the trials, laws and enforcing them.

Work: Deals with craftsmanship, building, money and the like.

There are also a group of saints that are worshipped as basically miniature versions the the Fingers. In order to worship the Hand churches and Cathedrals were built, some dedicated to just one Finger, others to the entire Hand. And just as there's churches dedicated to the various Fingers there's also dedicated priests and priestesses and depending to which finger they serve they have different tasks: Priests of Death take care of the dead by organizing burials and tending to graves while priests of Justice often acts as judges depending on the authority of the church in that given state. The Church has a head consisting of six persons in nice hats, each one representing one Finger with the sixth representing The First.

The afterlife is a complicated matter. It is believed hat when you die you are first sent to the dominion of Justice to be judged. If you are deemed worthy you are sent to one of the other celestial dominions of the other Fingers, depending to which one you have served/been to devoted the most. Those that are deemed unworthy are sentenced to a punishment depending on how they were in life, when the punishment is complete they may enter the dominion he/she belongs to. Unless you get sentenced to The Out, a dimension of primordial Chaos outside the world, where you get devoured for eternity by the demons and devils that lurk there and sometimes slip into the real world.

But wait there's more! The church also have an unofficial militant branch in The Temple Order of the Crimson Sword consisting of three branches called guards

First is The Red Guard which is the main force and what you think of when someone mentions them. They are easily recognized by their crimson tabards with the symbol of the order emblazoned on them, they are armoured and armed like classic knights with plate-mail and fullhelms. These guys main task is to protect the churches, the holy places, the servants and pilgrims of the religion. They are quite skilled warriors due to the fact that they have quite high requirements for those that wish to join and they hold a harsh discipline and demands when you well has joined them, it is said that one Knight is worth at least 3-5 regular soldiers. They have a various amount of ranks with the first being Candidate, these guys haven't officially joined the order yet. Then comes, in rising order, Initiate, Knight, Sergeant, Captain, Commander and lastly Lord-Commander with the head of the guard called Grand Master. A Knight is usually accompanied by an Initiate or a soon to be Initiate who basically acts as a squire for the Knight.

Then comes the White Guard which is essentially the Wizard Corps of the order and their main responsibilities are to support the Red Guard in their missions as well as to take care of the sick. Their hierarchy is similar to the Red Guard with only Knight and the Commander ranks replaced with Magi and Master Magi respectively. These guys is recognized by their white robes emblazoned with the orders emblem

Lastly is The Black Guard. They are the most secretive part of the order and they only take new members from the other two branches or people that has succeeded in gaining their attention, in fact they are so secretive that the only ones that knows about them is those of high enough rank to have to know and the ones that are members. Their main task is to find and destroy demons, devils and those that affiliate with them. Due to the nature of their recruitment methods they only have four ranks: Initiate, Hunter, Master and The Grand Master. These guys are forced to have a wide variety of skills including both magic and martial combat. They often dress in black but it's no demand and they have the emblem of the order tattooed into their body somewhere though often they also tattoo in different holy symbols and verses with magical ink as well for additional protection. While the other branches just wants you to be devout in order to join them you need to be almost fanatical in order to apply to the Black Guard. They are basically Secret Inquisitor-Assassins

The leadership of the Order consists of the three Grand Masters who rule as a council and by vote. Though they are subservient to the religious leaders of the Church of the Hand. As you could probably understand this is quite the large order, with their own fortresses scattered across the world, a large part of them acting as a safe haven for pilgrims travelling to various Holy sites. Their Patron Finger is Justice

I wonder if this fight would be happening close enough to the fountain area to disrupt our little meal/lip syncing conversation.

I have no idea, but I imagine it'd make quite a bit of noise. And maybe some people fleeing. Well, definitely people fleeing.

I should get Amairei away from there if it doesn't calm down soon though. I don't want her going berserk on Waggy's Daddy.

@Combat C:

No problem. There's a whole lot going on right now. Amazing really that we can keep all these individual plot lines separate.

You did.

Anyway, I read enough to know that I don't really inconvenience anyone by waiting 'til tomorrow morning to post...unless someone tried to interact with Alex after Anno sent her home. So...yeah. I'm gonna wait 'til tommorrow to read the other 100 posts.

Also, I had a couple of character ideas while I was gone, so I might write one of them up...or it might not, I dunno.

Actually...can I get a summary of what I missed and where people are? I'll read the stuff I missed eventually, but...there's a lot of it. The RP almost doubled in size while I was gone. >.>

Okay, I did use the word separate, but I just meant keeping them that way to this point. Who knows if they'll stay that way. *feels kind of stupid now for making that comment and not being able to keep my own discussion posts straight*

Lets see...

Amairei Team!

The group planning to go to the part was found by the mage Henrietta and the knight Killian (Whose player appears to have disappeared) After some talk by Henrietta of just where Amairei came from Scyd a fairy mage from the tower was designated as Amairei's guardian for the party. Then Wagner's father passed the group by and Wagner went chasing after him. This prompted the man to hit his daughter to everyone's outrage and so a fight with El Jabali ensured.

Luceid Team!

The woman Luceid hid from a group of men in dark armor turned out to be the Doge in disguise! Those men were his body guards who were trying to drag him back home under orders of their captain. After being disappointed with the revelation Luceid and the Doge spoke for a little while before setting out to meet with a necromancer.

Chandri!

The thief-sorcerer Chandri went to a inn to sell his stolen merchandise. There he met a drunk woman in a bar fight which he dropped from a table. The woman, called Aisha, soon invited Chandri to drink with her. Chandri excused himself for a while to sell his stuff to the bartender and had him drug the woman's drink to get rid of her. Aisha however didn't drop unconscious from the drink, though now feeling quite dizzy she has him accompanying her back home.

Bat!

The little pet dragon wandered the streets in the form of a boy when he ran into a local young lady called Karen. Hearing his stomach rumbling Karen took him to eat and found out that he can talk by telepathic messages. A local bard overhears the conversation and offers himself to teach Bat how to lip synch what he transmit telepathically.

Hmmm I feel like I'm forgetting someone... but I think that's mostly what has been happening.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

I had assumed Karen had already brought food for herself and Bat to the table. She was in front of Kurt in line.

Felt like a fairly natural place to end that scene, given what had just been said.

Oh! Did you want to end the interaction? I'm sorry :/ It's just that Black doesn't actually want to kill Emi. He was just stating the facts ^u^ He would probably just follow Emi around till she started to bore him, but he's not really going to try to attack Emi. Probably might help her if it struck his fancy.

But if you want to end it, I'll have him wander off. No pressure [lol]

Hold on, is this noble's party happening soon (relative to the current timeframe of the RP)? It seems like other people's characters are starting to get there, and if that's the case I should probably have Kurt on his way there soon as well since I've established him as performing at it...

Um, didn't Anno say the party's tomorrow in the RP?

Reading through, I didn't see it jump to the next day, did I miss something?
