Man, I want to play this game sometime.
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things. My 1KBWC groups instituted possibly the most broken card in the game that people actually enjoy: Hasty Rules Patch, which allows the user to make up a new rule. This resulted in some incredibly speedy wins in certain games.
For example, we have a card called BIISSSSOOOONNTRAAAAIINNNN!!!, which gives the owner 'BISONTRAIN' number of points, as well as destroying enemy cards. Using Hasty Rules Patch, one of the players instituted a convoluted new mathematical system in which BISONTRAIN = Infinity.

"One thing, though- apparently the eldest goat is the bastard child of Muhammad Ali and the Hulk." ~ Exelixi, on The Three Billy Goats Gruff.Urgh.
So in my deck, we've got this card called "Helium", which forces everyone to speak in a high-pitched, chipmunky voice on pain of losing 200 points. We've also got a card called "Autoturret" which shoots anyone (for -75 points) who gets up and moves around, deploys a new Minion card, or makes any noise above normal speaking level.
Try speaking in a high-pitched voice, and you will find yourself speaking more loudly than usual.
The winner of that match had negative 375 points when everything was said and done.

Smile for me!How do I sign up for that game? It looks like it's already in progress. Just jump in and say I want to join?
Not "on break", more like "updates when available". I've actually been on a lot more than I'd expected. I'd have had the game progress if Jimmmyman had actually done anything (although as stated, ticks are temporarily unlimited length.) anymore as of 12/22
Yeah, basically that, although you should probably do that in the game's thread rather than this one!
I had this card once...
Commercial Break: All durations of time can be resolved in 15 minutes
and there was, in the same game,
The Doom Song: (I don't actually remember what went here. Suffice it to say that the game would have been put on hold for six months.)
BUT we didn't get to keep them, as we were playing on sticky notes.
The winner of that game won because he got hit with a paper airplane for -10 and then someone played
Golf: Lowest score wins

"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "Ugh. I love the idea of the game, but I can never seem to sell my friends on the idea of playing it. What would be a good pitch to use?
You look at things as they are and ask "why". I look at your plate and ask "are you going to finish those fries?""What are your favourite card games? Okay, let's play them. All at once. If it doesn't make sense, we'll just make more stuff up to accommodate it. And if it does make sense, we'll make up more stuff until it doesn't again!"
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeable
I am given to understand that many tropers enjoy and regularly play this game. However, there doesn't yet seem to be a thread for the discussion of it. Such an omission had to be rectified, fellow tropers!
I am certain that many incredible stories of creativity and awesome stuff have built up among the community without any outlet. Have at it!
