Eh, I think the fact that the hat and beard are visibly blowing makes it pretty clear what's going on.
Reaction Image RepositoryI would prefer something else. The image is far from clear.
It could be mistaken for bad breath, but the moving hat and the fact gale force is in the title make it pretty apparent it is about wind from the horse's mouth.
I wouldn't mind replacing it if someone finds something better, otherwise I'd leave it there.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackYeah that's a pretty bad image that doesn't display the trope at all.
Possible replacement◊ (though if we could find something "stronger" that would be great)

That works.
I'll say Keep Until Better Image Suggested on the current image.

Reaction Image RepositoryDidn't realize there was an IP thread for this, as I don't normally come here.
Anyway, while I'm okay with the current image (not a brony, BTW), if it absolutely needs a new image, how about the last two frames from the example strip of The Whiteboard, here? Shrinking it down to 350px wide still leaves it readable:

All your safe space are belong to TrumpI like that.
Very nice
Trouble is it could just be mistaken for a plain ol' windy day.
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartWell he IS saying that they got some new speakers
I like it.
Support.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.HFM, that's why I said for both of those panels. The second primarily does the "gale force" part of the trope name (guy walking against a stiff wind, stuff blowing around), and the third panel primarily covers the "sound" part (conversation about the speakers, and the speakers themselves being the obvious source).
As an aside, the very first panel as well would've been nice from a completionist point of view, but sizing the whole strip down to 350px wide made it unreadable. Also, it wasn't really absolutely necessary to illustrate the trope, and for the purposes of trope illustration was kinda borderline visual Word Cruft.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpAt the risk of sounding like a kid on a long car ride going "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" ad infinitum (and nauseum), is there any particular reason to not use my suggested image?
While I understand not changing things just because of a random whim, even if I hadn't made the suggestion I'd still think it more clearly illustrates the trope than the FiM pic currently there.
(I have nothing against FiM, mind you. I just don't watch it... though I may have uploaded some Rule 34 material of the show in the past. *innocent whistling*)
All your safe space are belong to TrumpThere's usually a period of waiting to see if there are anymore suggestions or if anyone opposes adding it. I support the picture in post 7 as well.
"I know where I am, I just don't know where I am in where I am." - MeOne or two more votes for it and we can run with it.
Okay. Like I said in my first post, I'm not a regular here (I spend enough time here as it is ), so I'm not familiar with the forum etiquette (so to speak). Part of why I didn't just change it instead of asking first.
No big deal to wait, it's not a ZOMGWTFBBQ emergency.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpNow I'm pretty sure I am doing the "are we there yet?" thing, but I'd really like to wrap this up, and get the IP banner off the trope page.
(I know I don't own it, as per Wiki licensing, but I still feel kinda partial to it anyway. )
All your safe space are belong to TrumpHang on. Another thought. You all remember that ad, or whatever, with a guy in a recliner, listening to music, and the force of the speakers are blowing his hair and everything in the room back? And eventually it shoves his glass off the table and he catches it in midair?
Dang, I can't remember the name of the ad or the guy in it, and I'm finding it very hard to google. But you know what I'm talking about, right? It's kind of old, and famous enough that it gets parodied all over the place. The guy was wearing sunglasses?
I have a message from another time...That's the very first example on the trope page.
It also requires movement to make it obvious that the trope is in play, and only TVT's video show (name forgotten, at the moment) is acceptable for YT vids as trope images. Animated GIFs are also not an option, and haven't been for ages now (if ever).

All your safe space are belong to TrumpSupporting the comic.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Good enough. The pic is up, potholed, and tagged; caption? I'm leaning toward no.
I think the image speaks for itself, personally. I'd say that any caption would be redundant.

I have nothing against MLP, but it's hard to even see the lines of sound here.
