I can't remember if that particular Chip Cheezum video talks about it (It probably does) but, there's a dodge move in the shop called Offensive Defense or something similar. I /know/ that video teaches you how to parry, which is the 'block' here.

I ship it.

Metal Gear Rising sucks, according to this guy;

I think he made a few good points although honestly I couldn't watch the whole thing, I found his voice too annoying.

What makes a good man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?

Is it just me, or does the Blade Wolf totally look like a Rat Thing?

more like he looks like Friender. which is the point since Rising is basically them making Casshern the video game. Again.

I wish they'd make an actual Casshern game. It would be rad.

i'm kind of surprised that there isn't one. japan seems to really like that franchise for whatever reason, given that it had an ova series in 1993, a live-action movie, an anime reboot in 2008 with big names attached to it and really impressive looking imagery, and the fact that it's inspired a number of characters in vidya (besides the aforementioned, mega man is basically casshern meets astro boy).

Jelly. I got it at about $60, and it's been out for a year and a half.

So today I got in my first four hours of Revengeance, and this game is almost better than sex. Hard as shit, but my god is it fun/hype.

For your amusement, my list of properties that'd do well with a game by Platinum:

Zelda would be awesome. Friggin' Shuraba combos all day.

Perhaps, but I'd rather a studio like Platinum get to handle those franchises than watch Bandai try to make them themselves.

Zelda

Heh. Platinum kind of already made this back when they were Clover, in the form of Okami. Which was, I feel, better than most recent Zeldas, so I wouldn't mind them taking another stab at a game like that.

Man, Sundowner was way easier than Mistral and especially Monsoon. Defensive Offense just slaughters him.

Sundowner's short-changed by the mechanics of his fight - most people avoid taking out his shields entirely, and if his much more enjoyable second form does get a chance to be activated, it'll only be in play for a pitiful amount of time due to his low health. He could have had a much better battle overall with some rebalancing.

And not having 'Red Sun' continue to play during the slider section was a baffling decision.

That room just before Sundowner's fight really makes me wish this game had a Boss Rush mode. That'd be fun.

Wait, what were you supposed to do when you enter Blade Mode and he lowers his shields? I just got out of it, sidestepped and kept up a combo. Also, when is the "gimmicky shit" line said? I never saw it.
