So basically he's just going back to his old job and not really retiring at all so the word really shouldn't have been used and we just clicked on an article with a misleading title. They got me again.

Although I'm a bit sad, I'm just gonna say I appreciated all of his and the rest of Nintendo's efforts. Sometimes, a man needs to take it slow.

Shouldn't we stop giving him attention? I'm one of those people who think that he doesn't really warrant an article.

EDIT: We are talking about Malstrom, right? >>

It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.

[up]It was actually Miyamoto who said that. Or are you referring to the one from pages ago?

Meh, don't feed the whirlpool. tongue

No, that above link is actually from Miyamoto's words, not Malstrom and his whirling river rapids of Small Name, Big Ego.

Since this is about the guy, I found an interesting Miyamoto quote about playing over the Internet:

There’s been talk at Nintendo about making a Famicom network. However, speaking as a player, it’s not going to happen as long as the biggest problem of the telephone age remains unsolved. People will go crazy for a game with a network connection once it’s released. Then they’ll see their monthly telephone bill and realize that they can’t afford to play anymore. NTT is going to have to change the way they look at phone bills and figure out how they’re going to separate the cost of connection fees from regular phone use.

As long as phone bills remain fundamentally unimproved, it’s going to be a hard thing to pull off. Until NTT stops thinking that connection fees fall under the same umbrella as general phone calls, the potential networks have to reach a wider audience will be limited.

I read that in the voice of Walt Disney "sniff" THE NOSTALIGIA!

I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2D

[up]Well, Miyamoto is often considered the Disney of video games, but even that's a stretch to read that in Walt's voice.
