Also hi to all the "new" people here. I'm Lior, used to be here like it was said, about 2 years ago before being banned, recently I've been wanting some more ways to pass the time (Being in the IDF means a lot of waiting times) so I asked if I could come back and was accepted.

It's plot-posting time again! Get out your summaries and put 'em up here so we can properly kick off this lovely new year that the good Lord has allowed us to experience.

A (clumsily-worded) Refresher on Voting:

• No voting until I say the polls are locked. They will start as open and will stay so until all pitches have been submitted.
• No announcing who you're gonna vote for publically. All votes should be PMed to me for confidentiality's sake.

Angel Island, two weeks ago

11:45 AM

A young girl in a hovercar supervises a group of machines, all equipped with digging equipment. Fortunately, today's dig site is nowhere near the island guardian's chosen nap spot, and so their only concerns for the moment are local wildlife.

"Ugh, I knew this job was a total bust...Uncle Ivo sends me to this stupid floating island crashed in the middle of the stupid ocean and I don't even get to see the stupid guardian...'Oh, it's a very important job Ovi, I would never squander your-'"

A pair of robots approaches the girl, quite literally tripping over each other to deliver the news. Which is odd considering one is equipped with tank treads, so how he could even trip over his chicken-like cohort is a bit of a mystery.

"Miss Robotnik!"

"No fair, I saw it first!"

"No, I did, ya boltbrained-"

"Whatever it is, I saw it first, now what'd you guys...ooooh..."

As the girl's gaze falls on the glowing ruby behind them, she reaches for her radio and tunes to her uncle's frequency.

"Oh Uncle Ivo...we found something...

Station Square, Present Day

6:02 PM

The skies are darkened with a fleet of airships. Dr. Eggman's army of robots has occupied the city for merely a week but it feels like an eternity. Despite the hordes of mechanical troops marching through the streets, television access and freedom of the press is still unrestricted, as if the city's new ruler were mocking the inhabitants with some illusion of normalcy.

"This is Scarlet Garcia, reporting live from Station Square...where I have been locked in the news building for five days now. Though our contact outside the city is limited, we are receiving unconfirmed reports that Grand Metropolis and its cutting-edge power plant have been taken by the Eggman Empire. Conservative estimates are that this acquisition may double the speed of the mad doctor's robot production. With an already-immense army amassed and several major population centers under Eggman's control, there is only one question on everyone's minds: 'Where is Sonic the Hedgehog?' "

Unknown Location

6:30 PM

A blue hedgehog paces the length of his cell for about the two-thousandth time that hour. He is very bored.

"...I know you're listenin' to me, Egghead. S'why I'm not sayin' anything. Just gonna ignore ya."

A voice rings out from the intercom.

"You're certain of that?"

"Yup."

"...Well you're doing a fantastic job."

"What can I say? I'm an overachiever. Okay, so ya got your new masked goon to lock me up but c'mon...we both know how this is gonna go. I bust out or my friends bust me out, I break your latest toy, maybe go Super Sonic if the Emeralds are around and I gotta (or feel like it), and we all go home for chili dogs and milkshakes."

A mad cackle rings out through the rather tiny cell.

"Aha! Ahaha...no...this time is different, you blasted hedgehog. This time..."

An eerie glow fills the confined space as the ceiling opens up, revealing...

"No way! You're nuts!"

"No, this time I came prepared! Ahahaha!"
