There's so much cute in this show. Class rep not the least of those things.

Also, Nagoya is awesome.

C'mon, Haru... - fall in love with the class rep instead. (Yeah, I know this ship has like 0% chance of canon endgame happening; le sigh...)

Btw, I really really really like how this love comedy is playing out. Why? Because I (still) like all of the characters involved in the love mess. After Korra, I had developed an allergy to love messes. Aquarion EVOL made it worse This series is doing very good job of re-acclimating me to love messes.

Natsume, no no no! Stop being Shipper on Deck for Haru/Shizuku. (I still love her, of course, but -makes hopeless-sounding noise- I want Shizuku to end up with someone else.)

With all the backstory on Haru, I'm starting to think this is more shonen than shoujo. (thinks) Yeah... even with the manga - it looks like there's more backstory about Haru.

He's watching her while she's sleeping...

WAH! I LUV Shizuku's reaction! <3<3<3

Dear Haru, please be advised that there is very fine line between "romantic" persistence and stalking. (Yeah, I know I'm being hypocritical.)

I think I would like Haru more if he wasn't such a genius.

Oh, fuck. That's it. Time for AU.

Her reaction, again. I love her reaction.

Yes, fight. Please fight. I know you two will still end up together, but the spats give me baseless hopes for my preferred ship.

I love Shizuku so much.

Once again, so much happening in one ep!!!

One of my top favorite characters in FMA is Greed.

Goddamit, Haru.

Oshima, you have my 100% support.

Because, Shizuku, you are fated to end up with Haru. T-T

I swear I am usually not interested in the bad boy type. (Really.)

Yes, Shizuku. You are doing the right thing!

Hahahahahaha.

One thing I can't complain about Haru is that he learns.

I think one of the little things I like is how often the two say they love each other. (it's been like what, four, five times in six episodes?

[up]I envy Haru X Shizuku shippers. It's ludicrous to argue that they ain't going to be endgame.

I actually don't mind either pairing. They both work and are interesting, in different ways. However, the unusually honest one is the one I favour more, partially because it's kind of rare, but mostly because I value honesty quite high myself.

[up]Oh yes! Honesty is definitely a plus.

Lemme think...

I think it's because of the other guy's hilarious reactions to falling in love which mainly got me onboard. So funny!

I'm bracing myself for the animated version of the ship sinking.

[up][up][up][up][up] Yeah I got the same vibes.

This is obviously a Shoujo show with a bunch of shoujo tropes as the starting point of the story, but then it played out more like a Shounen. Made for an interesting story I thought.

[up] That's actually a good way of putting it. Shoujo tropes with a shonen recipe.

As for the episode: squee squee squeeeeeeee.

And Kana Hanazawa, STOP MAKING ME LIKE YOUR CHARACTER SO MUCH

Also, patchy Shizuku is cute.

This was a great episode. All the characters were being themselves.

Hiding in bushes, hiding from Yuzan.

Shizuru turns her coldness up to ten, if not eleven.

I wonder if Haru gets the idea of scaring people? He really didn't seem to mind what those guys thought.

I think Haru is definitely conscious that other people fear him when he's made to notice it - like when Yuzan said 'you have an audience'. He's kind of innocent in a lot of ways, or maybe 'childlike' is a better word.

It's been fun.

I don't have much time for the anime right now, but the manga is so cute. @__@ Rare that I'd adore a shojo lead!

Yamaken, let's be real - you'd still get lost in a bookstore.

I am -trying- to not ship you two. Stop tempting me to ship you two.

Natsume X Harem of Pretty Boys ftw.

Yamaken, please stop being hilarious in love. This is shoujo. Main starting couple is 99.99% endgame. You won't win.

Episode 11: AKA Yamaken is endearingly funny.

Also Shizuku has taught me how to bring spaghetti. That girl is a smart one.

I'm not sure I prefer them as a couple, but Yamaken's attempts to get her are hilarious.

It's very hard for me to be (genuinely) amused. Most amusement I derive from media is either exasperated or snarky. So, when I come across a character who really makes me laugh, instant fave.

But still, I have 0% expectation that Yamaken will get Shizuku. Right now, I'm just wishing the story would stop making him so hilarious in his pursuit of Shizuku so I'll stop being (so) tempted to ship them.

Haru X Shizuku is practically set in stone. Even in my mind, the only way for Yamaken to get Shizuku is if Haru's dead, like maybe he suffers the same medical condition as his aunt (was that his aunt?).

For someone who is 100% against Die for Our Ship, it feels troubling to have to resort to it just so that Yamaken X Shizuku can happen in a believable fashion (in one's noggin).

Inner Shipper: It is very rare for you to be serious about a fan-preferred ship, so just ship Yamaken X Shizuku without any regrets.

Me: But I'm killing off Haru just so those two can get together!

Inner Shipper: Pfft. You killed off Haru after they've been married for over a decade and have two kids. Not to mention that even in the privacy of your own imagination, Haru still keeps popping up. Yamaken's practically competing with Haru's ghost.

Me: It's still Die for Our Ship.

Inner Critic: Yeah, it's still Die for Our Ship. Why can't you two just ship off Haru with Ooshima and/or Iyo? It's not as if this show's not encouraging people to ship alternative ships.

Inner Shipper: Cause Pair The Squares is lazy.

Inner Critic: Die for Our Ship is not lazy?

Inner Shipper: Not the way this idiot does it. Even while Shizuku and Yamaken are doing IT, Yamaken (not Shizuku) is still thinking about stuff Haru told him about Shizuku while he was on his death bed. It's respectable-type Die for Our Ship.

Inner Critic: There is no such thing as respectable-type Die for Our Ship. Idiot's clearly guilty and obviously compensating for killing off Haru.

Inner Shipper: Idiot's over-compensating. Yamaken's even worried about length and thickness and endurance.

Inner Critic: Idiot's just keeping him in character. Yamaken would worry about those things even if Haru's not dead.

Me: Can you two please stop calling me idiot?

Inner Critic: Still don't see why you two idiots just don't ship off Haru with Ooshima. She'd make Haru happy.

Inner Shipper: I told you already. Pair The Squares is lazy.

Inner Critic: Since you think there's respectable-type Die for Our Ship, just do respectable-type Pair The Squares.

Inner Shipper: We're not interested enough in Haru X Ooshima or Haru X Iyo or Ooshima X Haru X Iyo to pull off respectable-type Pair The Squares.

Inner Critic: ... I give up. You two are insane.
