That REALLY doesn't illustrate the trope.

It illustrates the trope name perfectly!

OK, OK, I know, but... first, it's a difficult trope to depict without running into the usual JAFAAC type problems, and second, I really hate to think that we're becoming so humorless around here that every single joke image has to be purged on sight.

I'm fine with it, there is a place for visual puns and the image really shouldn't double as the Laconic version in picture form. Viewers might be morons but they don't like being told they're morons.

There's a point in there, I promise you.

I'm fine with it as is; the trope itself is rather tough to capture in an image, and the current picture isn't really going to confuse anyone.

I don't mind the Visual Pun, so I'll say Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

Couldn't find anything that would demonstrate the trope. Found this◊ though.

The best image I can think of would be a hero(ine) lifting something heavy while flying and having bullets bounce off of them.

Why would that have to be in one panel?

Superman in flight, moving a tank, while being shot at by Nazis.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the best picture of it available, and it's a little "off," but it does illustrate all elements at once.

Huh, that's actually pretty darn good even cropped. I could live with that switch, though the loss of a funny image would make me .

Yeah, I'd prefer the current image over because I'm definitely going to remember that sort of visual joke over Superman doing Superman things.

Yeah, it's a good example, but too much 'tell, don't show' for a picture. Hmmmm...

I say image link the rest and keep the visual pun...technically it is an example. Brick implies toughness while wings and propeller imply flight...speed and strength are questionable but it hits half the requirements.

I'm inclined to agree with that.

The existing image is funny. Can't think of a reason to change it.

So, does everybody agree to leave the image as it is, or crowner?

I'm fine with keeping the current image, and actually pleasantly surprised to see a good joke image get support.

I have no problem with the pic - but what's with that caption? Can we cut that please?
