So two pieces of news were released recently.

First off the next season is called Kirakira Precure A La Mode and seems to have a sweets theme.

Lastly the next crossover movie is called Precure Dream Stars and seems to focus on only Gopri, Maho Girls, and Kirakira.

I guess they took the praise of the Topaz form to heart. Fine with sweets theme.

I guess on Precure themes, I sort of want to see a techno-themed Precure team. Not like technological/Magitek theme, but sort of futuristic theme. Sort of like Tecna.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!

Sci-fi magical girls are sorely underused yes. Science fantasy in general feels underused these days actually.

Everytime I see or hear a magical girl show with Ala Mode in it, I am reminded of the sham of a sequel of Tokyo Mew Mew.

What sequel? :P

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced Madoka Magica is like a dark mirror of Precure in particular, where instead of things getting better after you become a magical girl, things get worse.

Only because Precure is holding on for a long time playing the game pretty straight. I grew up watching Minky Momo and Creamy Mami, and the wish-fulfillment is very thick there. Using your shiny magical girl power to get things done and becomes whatever you want without any consequence like paperwork and worrying about your personal life being sucked up by your magical girling time, that's pretty much the entire point of the shows.

So I won't say that Madoka Magica is a direct shot at Precure, as Precure doesn't really invent those things. In fact, there are some subtle things that shows us these girls still need to get their life in order while still having the guard up for the monster beating, and still not falling victim of Urobutcher's tragedy syndrom. The parts when the grls have a study times, and the shown consequence of passing out from exhaustion in Fresh, is one of those realistic parts I like in Precure.

Here I thought Madoka was going more for Cardcaptor Sakura vibes!

I don't think Madoka was targeting any show in particular instead of just the magical girl warrior genre in particular. I don't think Precure stands out that much from the likes of Sailor Moon or Tokyo Mew Mew. It's just the modern equivalent of them.

39. Mofurun wants to be a Precure. She is really going to like the movie. Kotoha really likes having the opportunity to cut loose with her magic. I especially like her alien costume. Now I'm curious just how important relations between the two worlds truly is. Will magic be public knowledge on Earth by the end? The new ed wasn't just a one off. Hope there's one of those for Riko and Kotoha.

Quite a bit of Madoka's ending seemed like it was inspired by Heartcatch Precure though.

I'm watching another All Stars movie now, and I like how Coco and Nuts sound more like Mepple's English voice than Mepple does.

I think Coco is a bit higher pitched and cute than dub Mepple. That said I do like dub Mepple.

I never saw English dub, mostly because Indonesian dub is very memorable for me. Hell, I never saw the original Japanese of Futari wa because of that.

40. Super tsundere Riko. I think this is the third time she was irritated at a family member only to come around to them at the end. Come on, I know this is Precure, but tone down a bit on the repetition. Deusmast looks like an efficient planet buster. I always appreciate those with a good work ethic. Tanzanite got an upgrade, and Garnet's earth bending powers just got cooler. Ending is back to normal and looping back around.

41. That is a pretty fast travel time between the new worlds. New eye catch. I think that was the most noteworthy thing this episode. Oruba continues to be the only antagonist in this show worth anything.

42. I thought Chikurun was being blackmailed by Oruba by holding the Fairy Village hostage, not that Chikurun was scared that he was being lazy would be discovered by the queen. Kind of a pathetic excuse. Of course the girls are quick to forgive because they always are. At least that one villain I don't care for is gone now.

Hello, I'm new here (well, I've been here for a while actually). and I found what I think is our real official look at what the Cures.

[1]

I like their design they look cute, they have the mix between Heart Catch Precure and Doremi. And not only we have a sweets theme, but also they adding animal theme. Kinda weird mix of themes, but I like it.

There have been at least three different design leaks thus far all of which contradict each other. I'm probably going to wait four the 25th when the official websites update before I start taking any leaks at face value. Granted the quality of this particular leak is similar to that of the one for Maho Girls! but I still think it's best to be weary given that this is the third set of possible character designs we've seen.

43. To where fairies live. Chikurun was worrying for nothing, as expected. Dang, fairies live for a long time. Only 3 queens since the worlds got separated. I guess Haa's true identity is not much of a mystery anymore. Hey, Sparda is back. And now she's dead again. And then alive again? Well, props to Oruba for knowing that it can't hurt to bring back minions constantly. At the very least they can serve as useful meat shields.

44. Kids are cute, the episode, round 2. Between Cinderella, student council election, and this, suddenly we're getting a lot of Smile retreads. Hey Oruba, now would be a good chance to crush them when they're helpless. And he's supposed to be the competent one. The legendary magicians, almost crushed to death by a giant pancake. I bet that won't make it into the history books. I do like how Riko managed to stay the most mature. Wow, that ordinary turtle just beat up a shark 10 times bigger than it. Turtle guy should stay in his regular form. He's way stronger that way. Batty is still the best villain. So Oruba was trying to turn Kotoha back into her goddess form. That seems... unwise, even if it is for research.

45. New respect for Sparda, who managed to be plotting the whole time. Didn't think she had it in her. Oruba should stop talking about how all the previous bad guys were his pawns when those bad guys are still in front of him. Batty is the true hero. He was always the coolest. Beats the monster(how often does someone who isn't Precure do that?) and gets to live. So goes the strongest villain. I'd say Oruba will be missed, but it looks like there's about to be a lot of replacements. Right before the finale, and only one named villain is active. Not the most dangerous one either. Huh.

I'm honestly looking more toward Kira Kira Precure Ala Mode then watching Maho Girls. Its not bad, but its kinda boring fight wise. Their designs don't lend well to action sequences, either.

The Kira Kira precure, with their Doremi/Heartcatch esque designs, will probably lend to much more elaborate fights, especially since the Sailor Moon Crystal team will probably work more on it, and it had a lot of Toei's better precure animators pulled away from Precure to do it.

46. Now the Precure are Santa. I'd say teleporting the presents in is cheating, but they don't do that on Earth. But delivering it to the front door is boring. I feel sorry for that one lady villain whose name I can't remember. She has to kill time with a bunch of extras until the finale. But most importantly, it's time for Mage Hunter Kana to shine. Best side character in the show by far. And that poor monster. All it wanted was a present, but the naughty Precure blew it up anyway.

Character visuals and names for the Kirakira Precures. Has a sweets and animal theme. Basically Tokyo Mew Mew but the focus is the sweets rather than the animals.

Truly, we're in Tokyo Mew Mew route. Just with less Green Aesop.

.....This is awesome.

Plus, it looks more like Ojamajo Doremi Motto then Mew Mew, though its close.

An animal themed precure could be unique.
