Is leather armor okay for characters who don't use heavy armor and thus can't use steel? Also, is it okay for Bohl to have a glass dagger, since he's a bit of a one-trick pony in terms of combat?

And that start time is fine by me.

Is it too late for me to join this? 'Cause i really freaking want to. Infinite Paragon told me about this while we were playing Saints Row last night, and I have a fiery desire to join. I'll be working on a signup in case I can.

Go right ahead.

In other news, i'm withdrawing my own sign-up for now. I might replace it with a new character later, or as equally likely retool Jo'Khaj into more of a mage character.

Or both, if i'm allowed multiple characters.

RP is going up tonight, GM's are just finalizing the details at the moment.

Once the opening post is made, I will post the link here.

[up][up] Of course not, slap up a sheet.

[up][up][up] No, stick to orcish to start. After the RP has been going for a week or so we'll discuss equipment progress, but to start off orcish is very strong already.

[up]Alright, Orcish it is. Actually, that 's better, since he's not normally fighting, his combat style's usually just hiding, praying he doesn't get caught, and then slicing someone's throat after saying some Boondock Saints sort of shit, so a bright-looking glass dagger wouldn't be necessary. But leather's fine, right?

Alright here is the result of the tri-GM talk about characters.

KSPAM: It was decided that the backstory should be changed. The sleeping for centuries thing is a bit far fetched so they would be more comfortable if she were a modern day assassin. Also, no ebony gear.

N Man: Accepted.

Masked: No laser sword in case that was serious. Otherwise alright.

Dragon: Acepted.

Mukora: No Netch armor. We are not sure if Blue Scales are possible.

Lemurian: Lower the level of either your Dwarven Sword or your Orcish shield.

That is all!

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

But that throws her whole characterization out of whack! D:

I'll use something of lower quality if you insist (I'll just have the old ebony gear stashed away somewhere for later), but please don't make me retool her backstory again after I was finally happy with it! Besides, what's so farfetched about a simple potion when people regularly peddle gems filled with souls?

That there are ingrdients abound in Skyrim with the properties needed to create that potion.

The stash daggers option would be fine, i suppose, but from the way i understand it, she won't be getting them for a while.

Actually, I might need to write another character... I don't think the first one would work that well. In a story I could, but I think a Wood Elf magic user with a sarcastic streak will work better for an RP...

Okay, finally did this, it's kind of half-assed. Hoping there's no problem with the horse or Thieves Guild, seeing as she doesn't even ride the horse and is only a newbie in the Guild. Note that she added on the last name herself with the hope that one that has heard her name and is seeking service will assume she isn't an elf until actually meeting her.

  • Name: Aoife Caradoc
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 25
  • Race: Bosmer/Wood Elf
  • Birthsign: The Thief
  • Homeland: The forests of Valenwood
  • Appearance: Average height for a female Bosmer, thin-framed and slightly muscular. Dark, wide eyes. Narrow and slightly sharp face, very angular with a prominent nose and slightly large lips. Dark skinned, with red hair styled in a short mohawk. Wears white warpaint on her nose, around her eyes, and on her lips for a distinctly feral or tribal look. Her thin hands are slightly calloused, has long fingers. Several of her teeth are noticeably crooked.
  • Personality: Aoife is a very fiery and intelligent individual with a bit of a naughty streak but unshakable devotion to her allies and kin. She fiercely enjoys hunting, and it is what is usually occupying her time. Well, that is when she isn’t having a drink with her companions. . . Or robbing a house. As mentioned, she is a sharp little knife and has always been a bit naughty, and both traits manifest themselves in swift and precise archery, strategic prowess, and her habit of expertly “borrowing items without permission”. This, in addition to her hunting and overall Bosmer psyche, contribute to her almost exclusively nomadic lifestyle. She is quite adventurous and mischievous and enjoys playing pranks or playfully flirting with her companions. Despite her wit and sociable nature, she has a bit of a temper. However, she is overall a very empathic and compassionate person that detests suffering, and will often give money to those less fortunate or help defend others from harm. While she has no qualms with killing people, she will only do so if they deserved it or defending herself, or if there was simply no way around it. In the latter case, she tends to beat herself up over it. Modesty in terms of her body is a near-foreign concept to this jokester as is the concept of personal space. Likes horses and dogs and finds chickens adorable. Has a seething hatred for the Thalmor and is a firm believer of Nocturnal.
  • Possessions/Gear: First and foremost, if it is allowed, a dapple-grey horse named Finny mostly used for carrying her “house”, which is a small one-person makeshift tent made of deer pelts. As for her actual gear, she possesses an Elven Bow, 30 iron arrows, 20 steel arrows, vials of frostbite venom and weak poison. Also has a steel dagger on her. Has several animal hides on her person or on Finny, as well as a small assortment of stolen jewels and other goods she plans to take to the Thieves’ Guild’s fence or find a prospective buyer for. Has about 20 Septims on her at the moment, enough to get a drink, lodging and food at the next town she stops in. Her clothing consists of the Thieves’ Guild’s hood, armor, gloves, and boots. Has some raw animal meat, mostly venison on her as well, as well as a few common herbs.
  • Skills: Extremely adept in Archery, and quite skilled at lockpicking, sneaking, and pickpocketing. Dabbles in alchemy and smithing, though with the latter she’s learning sheerly to improve her bow or tan the pelts she brings in. Can manage herself decently with one-handed weapons, but will probably be screwed if in close-combat for too long. Two-handed and magic are no-gos, might as well be nonexistent. She will die if she tries. Pretty much exclusively wears light armor. Can strike good deals at the market for both her pelts and even on occasion her stolen goods, which implies a fairly high Speech skill. Also, while completely useless 99% of the time, she can play those flutes you find in-game and is fairly good.
  • Backround: Aoife was born in and lived in the forests of Valenwood for her childhood and up until she was about 18. It was then that she decided she wanted to see more of the world, due in no small part to her adventurous spirit and curious nature. Her travels eventually led her to Skyrim, home of the Nords, and she quickly became enamored with the snowy, diverse lands. She began opening up trade as a hunter, a humble, satisfying, nomadic existence. Eventually, she had saved up enough money to purchase a horse, which made her travels easier in that it gave her a means to carry the spoils of her hunt. However, she still retained her childhood habit of taking items while others weren’t looking. At some point, while in Riften, she ended up aiding a member of the Thieves Guild with a small job, and in return, was offered a chance to join the guild. Reexperiencing the adrenaline rush she always got from stealing when she was younger and the chance to make a living off of it was very enticing, and she found herself accepting with no regrets. However, as it bothers her to stay in one place for too long, she kept up her nomadic existence, conducting personally-assigned heists as she travelled and checking up on the guild from time to time. She chooses to try to ignore the conflict between the Empire and Stormcloaks as best she can, simply because she feels it’s choosing the lesser of two evils and doesn’t want to get involved. While she understands the nobility of the Stormcloak cause, she simply cannot ignore how they treat dark elves, Argonians, and non-humans in general.

I'll make adjustments tomorrow...

  • Name: Ayden of Solitude
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 21
  • Race: Wood Elf
  • Birthsign: The Lover
  • Homeland: Skyrim
  • Appearance: He has long black hair that comes down to his shoulders, never a mess, but never completely tidy, either. Hazel eyes, pale skin, ears that are long and pointy even by elvish standards, a slight build, and a slender, angular face. In short, a steriotypical elf with black hair and hazel eyes. He always has a small smear of red, about a finger's width, across the bridge of his nose.
  • Personality: Ayden is a rather... unique Wood Elf. He dismisses the Green Pact, veiwing it as a ridiculous limitation, and defends his decision, stating "I am not my Ancestors. I made no such bargain, and I am not bound by it as such." He can get rather cynical at times, but he doesn't let his veiws on sentients as a whole dampen his sense of humor.
  • Possessions/Gear: Hunting Bow, a quiver of iron arrows, a pair of steel longswords, each slightly different in design, a suit of Leather armor and 18 septims.
  • Skills: Good in One-handed, Archery (race+10), Light Armor (race+5), and Destruction. He also dabbles in Restoration, Alchemy (race+5), and Alteration(race+5)
    • Flames
    • Healing
    • Healing Hands
  • Background: Raised in the city of Solitude, he had a simple, inglorious life, competign for scraps with the other urchins. He spent a large amount of time around Argonians, and he's derrived some of his mannerisms from them, including his habit of smearing red war-paint across the bridge of his nose and a dislike of the Khajiit. When he began developing his talent for magic, however, he suddenly had options. There was always someone who need a mage to heal and injury, read their palm, sell them love potions, etc. It only worked on the dull ones, true, but there were plenty of dull people to go around. So, with his ill-gotten money, the charlatan booked passage to a destination he selected at random, and headed off, taking his first steps along the path to becoming an adventurer.

Okay, overhaul time (I mean it too, really, only the name stayed the same).

  • Name: Jeane
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 24
  • Race: Breton
  • Birthsign: The Atronarch
  • Homeland: Good ol' Winterhold
  • Appearance: Jeane is rather light and lithe, standing at 5' 6'' and weighing in at around 129-131 lbs. Her chocolate hair is about neck length, and is rather wavy and disheveled. She has a nice, curved figure, but usually dresses in a very unflattering set of hooded black robes, so this usually goes unnoticed anyway. Jeane's hood is fairly large, reaching down far enough to mostly conceal her (red) eyes in shadow. Looking at the total picture, a person might get the impression Jeane doesn't care very much about how she looks. This person would be one hundred percent correct.
  • Personality: Jeane initially appears to be a cheerful, chatty, and rather playful young woman, if not a teensy bit scatter-brained. While this impression isn't wrong perse, it is far from the whole picture. Jeane has three major passions in life: knitting, finally finding the perfect robe design, and learning absolutely everything she can about death and the hereafter, most notably the planes of Oblivion and their masters, the Daedra. It is her greatest obssession, and the reason she became a mage in the first place. To Jeane, there is very little distinguishable difference between life and death, and she cares little for the devil in the details. Thusly, her approach to death and dying are rather unorthodox, or as many would call them, callous and crass. It's suspected by most that work with her that she'd probably murder them, soultrap them, and stitch their zombified corpse back together in various silly and degrading ways without a second thought would it not ruin her robes. Still, she has no demonstrable history of violence (against anyone not pointing a sword at her, anyway), so most just leave her be, and enjoy the fact that the deranged young woman is at least nice.
  • Possessions/Gear: Not much. Jeane prefers to cast her spells without the aid of staffs or enchanted weapons, instead opting for a simpler, less cluttered approach. She does however, wear a large amount of jewelry, mostly rings, and carries a large stock of soul gems on her at all times. You can probably put two and two together here. It should be noted, however, that she does possess a large collection of Daedric artifacts that she keeps locked away in an undisclosed location, she just doesn't like to use them. In her eyes, it damages them, which hurts her pride as a collector (this whole thing can be changed if the G Ms see it fit)
  • Skills: Is profoundly talented in Conjuration, and shows considerable skill with Alteration. She dabbles in Enchanting as more of a hobby, but is practiced in it nonetheless. Her Destruction, Restoration and Illusion magics are rather rubbish though, and her Alchemy could use some work. While her common sense is debatable, she can certainly talk your ear off and hold her own in a debate, meaning she possesses moderate Speech skills. On an unrelated note, she can also knit one hell of a sweater.
  • Background: Jeane's parents were talented mages at the College of Winterhold, but tragically, they were just as scatterbrained as Jeane would later turn out to be, something which got them killed during one of their experiments (or rather, by one of their experiments). Jeane, being a magically-inclined child in a prestigious college for mages, did the only natural thing and quickly found a way to bring them back to life. Well, their bodies at least. Behind closed doors, or when the moon shone overhead, Jeane would often breathe life into her parents' corpses, and have pretend conversations with them, ones she tricked herself into believing were real. Of course, later she actually did discover how to speak with them, but by then the damage had been done. Jeane could now only barely tell the difference between life and death, and had developed a rather marked fascination with death and Oblivion. This makes her a very capable and willing Conjurer, not to mention Necromancer, but the implications this had for her personality and her interactions with others were obvious. Jeane grew up learning her craft at the college, pursuing every one of her curious and usually warped desires. She constantly tinkers and experiments, having gone so far as to induce vampirism in herself in an attempt to draw herself closer to the daedra of Oblivion. She doesn't mind being undead (she actually rather enjoys it), but she manages her condition (at least to a moderate degree) lest the College oust her and cut her off fron her precious experiments.

If there's nothing wrong, I'll begin immediately. Also, anyone mind telling me if The Atronarch just makes regaining Magicka by sleep impossible, or can't they regenerate Magicka at all?

[up]Yay!

[up][up]The Atronach makes normal mana regen zero, so waiting/sleeping to regen it is a no-go. Everything else is fair game, though, like potions, plus you have that massive spell absorption. That's Oblivion though, since Skyrim has no birthsigns. But that's all video game talk, and the GMs could deem it fit to let you sleep it off, hell if I know.

That and she's a Breton, so more spell-absorption! And resistance! She's like a magicka sponge! :D

Besides, I heard a good way for Conjurers to use the Atronarch was to summin their familiars, have them fight till they're just about done, then aggro them and absorb the magicka from their retaliation, recharging them. Devilishly clever, and hilariously in-character.

The Orcish shield is now a Dwarven shield, to match Seh'ri's sword. Is that acceptable? (Also, I find it quite interesting how Orcish armour is better than Dwarven, while Dwarvern weapons are superior to its Orcish counterparts).
