Yeah, whether America has the capacity to decline and fall has nothing to do with American exceptionalism. The OP was confused. The question is whether America is unlike any other country (implicitly, in a good way).

Allow me to don my Captain Obvious hat, but America is also a young country, and there's no guarantee it will still exist (in present guise) in this century.
