I really need to get back to reading that...
Shiiiiiiit.
I've got a bit of catching up to do, for sure. On a lot of stuff...
A random thought occurred to me lately: What exactly would the FOE version of Ceaser's Legion be like, given how we don't know if Equestria has a version of Rome and also how I imagine there wouldn't be a ton of sexism against females in this setting {I could see the reverse being true though}?
I would imagine that, considering what we learn of zebra culture, they would be zebra exiles attempting to rebuild their empire in Equestria. I'd imagine they'd fight Red Eye and the Brotherhood.
I was actually thinking of doing that for my own FO: E thing. One of the characters being a zebra that's the exiled son of one of the zebra remnant groups.

Maybe they're some sort of breakaway from the Grand Pegasus Enclave (yes, it's a bit of a stretch, I know), trying to revive ancient Pegasus society under somepony claiming to be Commander Hurricane?
It took me a few months, and the last 60% at least was just these past less-than-thirty days.
There's other criticisms that I have, and I did get one aspect of the above complaint spoiled for me before that character was introduced I saw a brief glimpse of fanart depicting Littlepip snuggling with a grey mare with a blue mane.
The first 500 or 600 pages were pretty fantastic and gave me Game of Thrones vibes, but in a first-person perspective, so maybe more like a smaller-in-scope (Than Game of Thrones) character drama in a gritty setting, like how I imagine The Walking Dead might be like.
But then... when I have to read ...those... parts, the writing just gets cringier and cringier at those moments.
That being said, I had already fancasted voice actors for a TV series and made a little instrumental theme in my head for it to go with an ambient one-to-two-minute opening theme that would start at every episode.
So, yeah, it could be a way better series if it was heavily adapted.
make Homage not, or at least much less of some creepy sexpert who Littlepip arbitrarily just gets a whole lot of sex from in the miniscule time that they know each other, and actually, make her ... you know, more interesting and not something from Stephenie Meyer or E.L. James.
Make her more like L from Death Note, and also make the dynamic of her and Littlepip's relationship somewhat more equal by at least implying that there's at least some life experience that she doesn't have, or something. I would have Tabitha St. Germain voice both Littlepip and Homage, because I wouldn't trust anyone else to have good chemistry with her, even with it just being voice acting. Littlepip would sound sorta like Pepper Clark from Littlest Pet Shop or Martha from Martha Speaks. I would do away with the generic description of Homage as "pretty" and give her a more distinct vibe. I would give her a borderline Cockney accent, something that Tabitha could pull off. No other MLP voice actors would voice any other major characters in the series.
I like Steel Hooves. Sometimes he gives me vibes of Garnet from Steven Universe. In a TV show adaptation, he would have more SAVAGE one-liners, which is exactly what I would want.
I thought that the ninja would be a spoiler tag.
You spoiler-tag text [[spoiler:like this]].
The ninja is just a ninja for fun.
Homage is indeed the worst part of FO:E.
Much of the story is ruined by how... I don't know how to describe it other than "cringey": Littlepip's relationship with Homage. These are two ponies who barely know each other and suddenly Homage just throws herself at the Stable Dweller just so the protagonist can have a love interest. I feel absolutely nothing for their incredibly-shittily-written relationship. I detest Littlepip everytime she annoyingly narrates everytime she has a "pervy" thought on her hair-trigger.
Tomorrow I will be... seeing... hopefully a much better "My Little Pony fanfiction" that was just released this weekend.

I find those two very relatable; I've gone through similar relationships, and share Littlepip's unfortunate perpetual horniness, though not her shame about it. The only annoying thing is that their relationship is free of the strange and unexplained problems that pop up in mine.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.So just as a follow-up to my previous comment, I was talking about My Little Pony: The Movie that just hit theaters this weekend.
It was pretty decent if you are a fan of the series. It wasn't too fanfiction-y.
Indeed. Kind of puts up some new material for the story too. I'd imagine Tempest would keep her name for intimidation purposes, maybe the Hippogriffs would be seen as traitors by the Enclave/get Mount Eris megaspell'd by the zebras or flee underwater again (which might mutate them somehow).
I also went a little Metro 2033 with how the Storm Guards might be affected, they could be like the Librarians in that game.
I definitely agree that Steelhooves was the strongest character of the group. I didn't really like Littlepip or Homages relationship but eh lot of things I didn't like. Kinda went over all that a few years ago so not much point in rehashing it.
Finally read Project Horizons, from prologue to epilogue.
I want the name of the truck that's just run me over.
It's brilliant but...
I think I will wait a while to re-read it.
Yeah, I never finished it because it was way beyond grimdark.
Murky Number Seven's harder to read for me, BTW. I'm way behind in progress reading that than I was at this stage of time reading either Fallout Equestria or Project Horizons.
Murky Number Seven doesn't work as well reading it all at once compared to reading a new chapter every few weeks, like how it was published. Every chapter is so long and slow and so many things are repeated that the story's pacing is completely screwed when you binge it.
Big bump!
Murky Number Seven just posted its final chapter.
It was phenomenal. I couldn't be happier.
