Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their X-Men related stories here.
Discussions that are only about X-Men adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.

I have to say that the X Men franchise has been going on for decades. Maybe not as many as the Superman franchise has, but it still has quite a number to it.
One thing I am certain of is that the franchise seems to be subverting Status Quo Is God in recent years. Magneto and Professor Xavier seem to be fading into the background, with Cyclops and Wolverine taking their places. A lot of villains associated to the X-Men have been killed off and have actually stayed dead so far.
All this gives me the general impression that the franchise is trying to reinvent itself. Do you think that's what's going on here?

I just don't think what Jean did was all that bad; she didn't out Iceman to anyone else. She was just trying to help in a misguided way for him to finally admit to himself. You also forget she sees that elder Iceman is closeted and it's possible that she didn't want Bobby to go through years of suppressed sexuality.

According to the previews for the new Extraordinary issue apparently their hunting down mutants.

No I believe Apocalypse is actually Colossus as he says "To me my horsemen". Man-Thing is also seen in the previews fighting alongside the other 3 so it can be inferred that he's a horseman alongside Venom, Moon Knight & Deadpool.

Yup apparently. I mean we only have one page of evidence but its pretty strong. I mean the guys decked out in Apocalypse robes & he's leading Deadpool, Moon Knight & Venom while saying "To me my horsemen." I think that's pretty evidence there that he's somehow Apocalypse.

Who's Sugar Man? That weird multi-arm thing that appeared in the last issue of Extraordinary?

That's him. He dates way back to the original Age of Apocalypse storyline, where he was one of four characters from that reality to travel to the main one. He's died about fifty times and just keeps coming back.
So in All-New X-Men, Hank tries time travel and remarks that their eventual destination is not sixties New York. Does that establish that the 05 aren't native to 616's past after all?

No, because they shouldn't be in 60's New York. Marvel still uses a Sliding Time Scale as far as I know, so they should come from a late 90's New York at the very least.

Comics Alliance has been ranking 100 of the X-Men. The highest thus far is Storm. They agree with pretty much everyone else that we need a new New Mutants book, that Illyana has a un-requited crush on Kitty, "No one wants Beast", the time traveling young O5 should've disappeared from the books ages ago and that way too many young mutants have fallen by the wayside or died.
