Excuse me while I giggle. But really, is anyone surprised?
Trump delenda estJust give up on organized religion already. Give priests power, and some of them are going to abuse this power. You never know which ones will and which ones won't, so why leave children with them?
Sure, most priests probably don't do this; just as most sharks aren't going to attack humans; but if you're not sure whether a particular shark will or won't attack you, isn't it best to avoid being in the same body of water as them?

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartThing is in any hierarchal structure the people most prone to abusing their power are the ones most likely to wind up on top of the pyramid.
Trump delenda estI've said since the safeguarding laws were introduced in this country that the people most helped by them are the ones who want to collate details on vulnerable people to abuse them. Seems some of those people agree.
Being a Padeofinder General is a great way to get hold of free kiddy porn.

Why does he remind me of that one actor?
Please.Pedo Hunt meeets He Who Fights Monsters if you think about it!
TU NE CEDE MALIS CLASS OF 1971From just the title, I was scratching my head - I mean, I would assume that someone in the business of investigating child sexual abuse would have evidence retrieved from the course of their investigations - certainly the FBI division probably has a giant database, so that they can identify new victims and track the appearance of new content* .
Then, of course, the article mentions how they tracked him down after he was uploading kiddy porn to a file-sharing network ... yeah.
What really galls me is how he's all upset that the Church is "ostracizing" him. Gee, I wonder why they'd do a thing like that.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswSo, when people are against "organized religion", they mean things with a rigid, tiered hierarchy like Catholics and Mormons have, and aren't against, say, attending a small Methodist church or taking part in a coven. I didn't actually know that.
Hail Martin Septim!no we are against organized religion (the Abrahamic one's are mainly what they are talking about). This exchange in the movie Dogma is the anti-organized religion person view.
Rufus: He still digs humanity, but it bothers Him to see the shit that gets carried out in His name - wars, bigotry, televangelism. But especially the factioning of all the religions. He said humanity took a good idea and, like always, built a belief structure on it.
Bethany: Having beliefs isn't good?
Rufus: I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier...
Untitled Power Rangers StoryRigid beliefs aren't religion-exclusive, but all right. It's pretty much eclectics, agnostics and atheists in that camp, then?
Hail Martin Septim!-points to self- anti-theist atheist. no evidence, no support

Untitled Power Rangers StorySo the guy is a layman, right? * I guess that's an improvement, we see the Church is democratizing... *snicker*
"Atheism is the religion whose followers are easiest to troll"Sure, most priests probably don't do this; just as most sharks aren't going to attack humans; but if you're not sure whether a particular shark will or won't attack you, isn't it best to avoid being in the same body of water as them?
Although in this case it's worth remembering that this guy isn't a Priest.

Untitled Power Rangers StoryAtheistic dogmas - such as the belief that killing all the stockbrokers will solve this country's problems - are no better.
Hail Martin Septim!I have no love of Xianity either, but let's keep on topic.
A single phrase renders Christianity a delusional cultthat's not any atheist belief, that my solution to the wall street problem and that was an Ad Hominem
agreed. -takes another bite of irony from the news article-

Untitled Power Rangers StoryWhy do I feel, lock's coming in 5... 4... 3...
"Atheism is the religion whose followers are easiest to troll"OP: Try to explain the article in the post, instead of attempting to fit everything in the title.
And I don't see how a story of an investigator being investigated became escalated to the religion bashing. Ironic yes, but that's by the virtue of the person's occupation.
Now using Trivialis handle.I don't either and i had to put the title like that because it was too long.
Untitled Power Rangers StoryWhat I meant to say is, it is a dogma without religion. Organized religion isn't the problem: dogma is.
Hail Martin Septim!

the irony is delicious.
