"STG is an abomination. To them, the genophage is a solution..." he shook his head as he took another drink. "'Big picture, big picture, the data says "X",' you know what? That 'big picture' is made of billions of smaller pictures. 'Genophage saved lives-' Go to Tuchankan and look at the thousands of stillborns. It doesn't look like STG saved them."

"You know why spectres work alone? To keep them from becoming the STG. One man has a conscience, an organization does not. You see it all the time with mercenaries. A blue suns member alone might let someone live because they aren't a threat, but in a group? Anyone they find is dead."

He paused.

"Maybe that's the problem with the universe. Individuals are smart, but society... society claims to have bigger concerns, and individuals hide behind those concerns to keep their consciences clean. That would explain the Genophage, The Skillian Blitz, Torfan... The war with the Geth..."

"I disagree," Rose said. "I think you have it backward. The Spectres and the STG and the mercenary corporations have so much notoriety because they are owned by individuals whom society doesn't hold accountable for their actions. Say you want about Blue Suns, but we're not a fucking firing squad."

"Tell that to the people they butcher for not paying their protection money. Maybe they're kinder out in the world, but on Omega, anything goes."

"Omega, heck, the Terminus System, is the heart of mercenary groupes, Except maybe the Eclipse." Thresh shot out. "You don't compete here witout being as cutt-throat as the rest, no matter how uniform you are." He ordered another drink. "I was Blood Pack before Wrex made the reform, so the degree in which I can call out other killers is limited, but the work we did hit the enemy, right in the front." He was just letting fall where they may at this point.

"We were a firing squad, but those diplomatically immune? Those enlightend and civilized minds? They blow us out of the water."

"I don't personally agree with the genophage, but you do have to admit, it happened because the krogan forced the hands of the salarians. Their rapid population explosion combined with their physical prowess outmatching even that of the turians prompted them to make the genophage. And then the turians went and bombed all of Tuchanka and everywhere else krogan controlled with it."

"Not sure if their original plan was just to use it as a weapon of mass destruction to bully the krogan into submission, only for the turians to overstep that plan, or if they told the turians to spread it to avoid blame... both seem likely."

It appeared over alcohol, Jordan got ever-so-slightly smarter at times.

"I may not agree with everything STG done, but the fact of the matters is, with one little push, our entire way of living is gone."

-Isea shakes his head-

"I left it behind, there were to many things i disagreed with, follow Jeko's lead, but, unlike him, i still believe in the basics of STG, do things no one else wants to, because that is what leaders need, someone willing to do things they are unwilling to do."

"Tell me you didn't just say that, Jordan... you're sounding like them. You can't analyze the value of a life... that's something scientists never figure out."

"Like I said. I'm not saying that it was right at all. I'm just saying that it's like the salarians to utilize nonconventional formats of warfare to cripple their enemies psychologically, remove their will to fight."

He looked at Isea. "No offense."

"None taken. Its are people's way, but..."

-Isea smiles-

"Most people don't see a Salrain as a threat, until he has a gun to your head and his sqaudmates capped. Then they know were not all squishy scientist."

"Only a fool dismisses a race of quick-witted scientists as not being a threat."

"I have meet many fools then."

"I'm surprised the galaxy still has fools left after so long."

"I believe the humans have a belief in something called Social Darwinism? The stupid die first."

"Remove our will to fight, hmmmm?" Thresh said in the Krogan version of a high pitched voice. It was more of a low tenor. "Defeating in combat would take that away with time. The STG removed alot more than that, I'll tell you. In the eyes of the Krogan, you killed a reason to live." Might as well get it all out now, he figured.

"Granted I can't blame you, Salarian. For you, it happend dozens of generations ago. But if the Krogan ever prosper again -and under Wrex, they will- the universe will have done itself no favors by killing our children." He set himself on a long last shot.

"Like i said Tresh, i understand were you are coming from, you are not the first Korgan to tell me this, losing the will to live.... but i do agree about Urdnot Wrex, he is far better the then Weyrloc Guld."

-Isea sighs-

"As long as Wrex is in power, i see a future for the Korgan."

Wow, these guys have the kind of love-hate relationship that romcoms can only dream of. "Can I buy another round of drinks for everybody?" Rose offered, to try to change the subject.

"Yes, please," Dru answered. "Mine's empty. Again."

"Heh, just Dr. Pepper from now on," Joe said, pushing away his empty rum-and-coke. "I want to remember how I get back to the ship this time." He slapped the quarian on the back, "right, Drew?"

"You know," Dru said, "Just once I'd like to forget how I got back to the ship. Just once. Maybe twice." He started sipping on his third drink.
