Agreed, and there's a strong enough consensus for it.

Okay, so we need to figure out how to do that page and the page proper.

You holler to a mod asking them to call it. Click the yellow triangle at the top of your post (or don't because I'm doing it now).

Sorry to reopen the wound, but the problem of moving all the self-demonstration to its own page is it make it nearly impossible to find. Unless you are looking for it, you won't come across it at all. It is only 'fun' for who writes and who has inside information, not for casual viewers.

Furthermore, self-demonstration has an informational value on its own. It make easier to get the point across which is a good thing. Of course, as it is right now it is useless, but using the initial suggestions would help the understandment of the page better then just cutting the self-demonstration all together.

It is fine if the current rambling get moved to a new page, but please leave some of it.

Well I was thinking of starting the page proper with a Describe Topic Here joke, ending it in an ellipses, and then in parentheses, have a link that reads "see here for the rest of the rambling".

That would be more or less the same as using the current first paragraph, link to the other page, and then describe properly, right? That works.

Does anyone want to take a shot at writing a shorter description for this one?

This was honestly something that got lost in the shuffle of doing other stuff.

Plus the hard part was trying to get an actual description for the main page, as any in that description is just a mess.

Made a sandbox attempt, please comment. What page type should the Selfdemonstrating article be? Subpage?

Just For Fun. Don't forget to index it on Just for Fun and Self-Demonstrating Article, either.

Myra,
The sandbox page looks fine to me. Unless anyone has objections, I think you can go ahead and swap it with the page that is currently on /main and move the current description to /SelfDemonstrating/RamblingOldManMonologue.

Nice work.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.
