Given the support for a rename, there is now an alternative titles crowner for this trope here. Feel free to add names as you see fit.
"irhgT nm0w tehre might b ea lotof th1nmgs i dont udarstannd, ubt oim ujst goinjg to keepfollowing this pazth i belieove iN !!!!!1 dBump for more votes.
Can we call this? The crowner is pretty firm on the leading option.
EDIT:Ugh, ninja'd by the vote bump! >.<

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerIt does need about four more votes. I dislike calling them before they've hit 15.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickUmmm, it looks like the crowner image/medal/thing isn't showing up next to the thread.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI tried unhooking it and hooking it again but it's not showing.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickOh...something jinxed us.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerBumping for one more vote.
And now we have enough to rename.
Calling crowner. Do the swap
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickDid the swap. Finally managed to make a redirect!
Something else to do with this?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI'm afraid you will have to clean a lot of wicks up.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWe could use a good laconic.
"Fashionable, sophisticated, beautiful, and almost guaranteed to be fabulously rich as well."

Very nice. I think that works well.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickLooks good
If the only thing left to do is clean-up the 200+ wicks of The Beautiful People, should we move this to Special Efforts?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I've been working on it, (and someone else, apparently). Dunno if it should be moved.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI'll holler for the mods to judge on whether it should be moved.
And do the characters in the article image really qualify as an example of the trope? None of them are upper-crust aristocrats or have any conncetion to such aristocrats, AFAIK; they're just regular middle-class highschoolers. I believe the image is just an official omake that is not representative of the characters' social status in-story.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I don't think it matters. I get the trope immediately through the image. They really look the part.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerYes, but they're still not true examples. At the very lest, the xxxHolic entry should be rephrased to reflect that they only qualify in an omake artwork rather than in-story.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. No need for a Special Efforts, the wicks are nearly done.
Presumably when switching wicks, people have been making sure the example fit and deleting non-examples?
I know I have. This has been subject to atrocious misuse.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - Fighteer
