Definitely tropable, but it should certainly be about expressing the sentiment, without selling itself as a stock phrase("Often expressed with the Stock Phrase 'I wanted to [do something safer]'" is fine).
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanSupport re-name.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong. The YKTTW had I Wanted To Do Something Safe as the original title.
Adventure Is Risky Boring Is Safe? I've seen that particular sentiment around.
Fight smart, not fair.Didn't Want an Adventure? Didnt Ask For Adventure?
Actually a girl.I guess tropes named after The Incredibles can't stay that way... I think the name is okay. I was thinking Adventure Aversion, but since TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Vocabulary...

You're talkin' a lot, but you're not sayin' anything. — Talking Heads, 1977I don't think a rename's necessary, just that it needs to stop pretending to be a Stock Phrase and be about the actual trope.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanAs long as it looks like a line of dialogue, it'll pretend to be a stock phrase without even trying. Official Wiki Position(tm).
I gave the description a rewrite to bring out the trope more. The Stock Phrase aspect is now relegated to the final sentence.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanSee, my position not-consistant-with-the-Official-Position (TM) is that if it's going to be a Stock Phrase title, you should use the form of the phrase that's actually, you know, stock.
Does this need more votes, or can we call it now?
2.75:1 is a pretty strong consensus, and it's had 15 votes, so I'd say yes.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Current score: +10 in favor of renaming with a 3.50:1 ratio. Yeah, we can call this.
Calling in favor of renaming.
Needs more votes.
I know we're renaming, but I also wanted to add that the old name confused me for Men Are Uncultured, as in "Why'd she drag me to this musical? I wanted to go bowling". So the name is bad on several levels.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. As for the current trope itself, it is apparently about dialog, in the form of "I knew this would suck", just about when an adventure is going south.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Didn't want an adventure is at 13:2
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Pardon my newbieness, but how long does it take before a crowner is called? It seems like it's not gonna go anywhere else.

Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
16 months old, 20 wicks, 6 inbounds, is trying to be a Stock Phrase and I don't think it actually is...and if it is tropable the name is a dialog reference that is much narrower than what it's referring to.
The laconic: Someone wound up in an adventure would really rather do something more mundane.
Can this be saved? Should it be saved? Weigh in.
