I agree - it does nothing to show the trope.
Motion to pull.

How do you propose to illustrate the trope, then? It's not about the war or the battles, it's about the reason.
Oppose pulling.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I disagree. In Silly Reason for War, there's "Silly reason", and there's "For War". The fact the guys are in hostilities must be shown to get the trope. The aliens don't look like they're arguing, fighting or warring or something like that.
If anything, that could be their respective fashion taste. Hell, they may be aliens of different gender but it doesn't show on their species, and those different scarves are gender-specific clothes in their culture, like dresses for women and trousers for men, or blue for men and pink for women.
Thus, my vote goes to pull.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaePersonally, I'm inclined to view this as unpicturable.
@ Mad: No picture is better than a bad or misleading picture.
@nrjxll: Agreed. This one's going to be tough to picture, if not impossible.
I vote to pull

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!The picture is not misleading in the least, and if nothing covers the "silly" part rather well. We can do better, but for the time being it can stay up UABPIF. Also opposing the pull.
"We are not a stuffy encyclopedic wiki. We're a buttload more informal".Again, though, it fails to display any evidence of the "war" part. Great example of the trope, but not as pictured.
But not bad enough to pull.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.The Laconic is "Waging war for the dumbest reasons possible." This picture doesn't show war, or the waging thereof. It doesn't show the reason. In short, it does nothing to demonstrate the trope. I'm going to hazard a guess that it's from Babylon 5, but that still doesn't give me anything to work with. It's a bad pic, and, like all bad pics, it should be pulled.
Things of mine keep getting deleted. I curse too much.Yeah, this pic isn't very good.
Supporting pull. What are we up to, 3?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Five votes for, two against, counting you.
Things of mine keep getting deleted. I curse too much.Support pull also.
I really think it qualifies as JAFAAC. There's two aliens standing there, and the caption basically saying "They hate each other because of the different colored ribbons". Without the caption, it's just as likely that they're the leaders of two alien boy scout troops standing next to each other at the intergalactic jamboree.
The hostility needs to be shown.
Reaction Image RepositoryIf they were yelling at each other, it would be much better. As it is, they just look like they're standing there greeting someone. Support pull.
Fight smart, not fair.@Raso: For the record, I'm also going to try and look for a better screencap from the episode, but I'm not certain there's one that will both show the Drazi fighting and establish that the reason they're fighting because of what color ribbon they're wearing.
Support pull.
To identify what the image has to do with the trope, you need to first read the caption, then consider what page it's on and draw your own conclusion.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI think you can with subtitles... my screens of my DVD wont show the subtitles for some annoying reason.
Its Season 2 Episode 3.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Against pulling until we can find something better. It's not going to mislead anyone.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Actually, on second thought I think we can get a better screencap from the episode itself.
+1 to pull; there's just not enough context there to get the trope across.
Tally for pull vote as of right now: 8 for, 3 against.

^^^Sure, it's not going to mislead anyone. The same could be said of having a 1x1 white pixel as the image. That doesn't mean it has any place being on the page.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storySo should it be pulled now?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.That's a pretty meaningless statement. A white pixel would be misleading, because the trope is not about "nothing". Two aliens with a silly argument is something, it shows at least a good chunk of the trope, and it therefore is a better option to "nothing" as the page image.
If a better picture can be found, that would be for the best, but if we were unable to do so, this picture would be better than nothing. Wiewers can put 2 and 2 togheter.
"We are not a stuffy encyclopedic wiki. We're a buttload more informal".Again, though, you need the caption to tell that there's even an argument in the first place. Otherwise it's just a couple of aliens showing off their differing tastes in clothing.
All you see in the picture is two aliens, standing next to each other and wearing different ribbons around their necks. No hostility is implied, no war, just... ribbons.
