It looks... kinda scary.
Motion to pull
Doesn't really show "loony" and certainly doesn't show "fan"(or tell it, for that matter). Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanSeconded; not nearly enough context.
Thirded. JAFAAC.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!fourthed.
Hmm Perfect Blue's Loony Fan might be a good replacement Just got to find the guy◊ buying out the store of a mag and ripping other peoples copies of the thing... I dont have the movie handy right now sadly.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Yeah, the current image doesn't work.
Maybe De Niro in The Fan? I think the Giants stuff and his look sell it◊, but it might be too close to JAFAAC.
Jet-a-Reeno!Pulled.

Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanUse the Penny Arcade comic about Franzibald or whatever.
I think Li'l E from Sinfest might do the the work.

There are no heroes left in Man.I agree. The next comic is even better.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! We could possibly make a collage from those two strips.
Well, does this do the work?
There are no heroes left in Man.
That's pretty good...the transition between the 2nd and 3rd panels is a little jarring, but it still works.
Any caption to go with it?
There are no heroes left in Man.Personally if we're going to use Sinfet, I prefer the last three strips of this Sinfest [1]. It's visually accurate and doesn't require text to get the point across.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.I prefer him saying he is his fan. Your image is not bad, but it made me think about God and his puppets: it can be seen as a parody. If Li'l E says he is his number one fan then there's no doubt about the trope.
There are no heroes left in Man.Agreed. If isn't in the examples list, it should be.
I still prefer mine, don't take it bad.
There are no heroes left in Man.The problem I have with the other proposal is that it relies too heavily on text to get the message across. If we have to use comics with speech, it's preferred that we stick to single or double panels like The Devil Is a Loser.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. It doesn't. The text is an addition that complements the image. We can see Li'l E acting like he thinks the Devil acts and contemplates him with admiration. Still, maybe this other image is better:
There are no heroes left in Man.
It's like three whole sections full of Wall of Text necessary to get the idea across, it's not complimentary otherwise you could remove it and it would still have the same meaning (which it clearly wouldn't).
I'm not against using Lil E and Satan but pick a shorter, more concise image. There's so many more to choose from.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Read this to see why the text is complimentary with the image.
There are no heroes left in Man.Yes, I am aware of the S So P, but saying your image was JAFAAC wasn't point at all. My point was that why use that particular strip when there are so many SINGLE PANEL strips from Sinfest that could just as easily get the point across? It's not like that was the defining moment for L'il E, and he's done so much crazier

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.I'm just saying that the text is complimentary, because there is more than the text in the image. I never said you told me the images are JAFAAC. The example with Tarquin and Elan are what I wanted to compare my images with.
I understand your points, but I still prefer the image where Li'l E says he is the Devil's fan. Maybe you should set for an image or two, propose them and we can have a crowner.

There are no heroes left in Man.
I don't get the joke.
