o_O
I want.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I don't have a PS 3, but it looks cool. :D
Jonah FalconThat looks amazing.
Please tell me it's not a fucking exclusive.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Alright, I have to give my props to the title.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaVita version announced.
So it's out now and people are already hating it due to the various meme references.
Well, it does try a little too hard at times at throwing about pop-cultural stuff (granted, stuffing Metroid and Escape Goat together results in an overload of awesome ), but it's fun as hell to play. I'm glad they changed the dimensional mechanic from Outland-"inspired" ad-libitum shifting to fixed portals (although you probably learn to shift via button press later on in the game).

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. It just came out for PC last week. For a limited time (ie, ending in about 33 hours from now) you will get a free copy of Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack when you purchase this game. And it's a "gold edition" too, which apparently comes with some extra hard levels and additional costumes.
The Cynical Brit has made a WTF is... of this game. He likes it. Of note is the part where he talks about how well the brawling is mixed in with the platforming, due to moves used for the former also being used to get through certain pathways in the latter. He compares this to the old Devil May Cry games where the platforming is arguably tacked on and feels like it's not supposed to be there and the focus of the game is clearly on the fighting.
This game is like, a 2D Devil May Cry with luchadores. And I love it.
It's interesting to see what the alpha version graphics looked like, now that I've played the full game in its completed release form.
Started this today.
How does one pronounce Xan'tay?
Xbox One version announced. Called "Super Turbo Championship Edition".
It's also coming to the 360, PS4, and Wii U. Hot damn, this is cool.

Thought this was an interesting piece.
I did like how you don't need all the golds to get the prizes. You just need ten golds. Most games would have simply made it "do everything, get prize". But this game knows how to not be mean.
So I bought the soundtrack to Guacamelee and now I want to burn it to a CD.
Here is the soundtrack, in its original order. The full soundtrack lasts 90:06.
First, it seems taking out the bonus tracks makes it all fit on one 80-minute CD, or alternatively I could probably lose the Leaderboards track since it doesn't really fit feel-wise. So, which tracks should I leave out?
Second, the original order isn't the order in which you encounter the tracks or the order in which major plot points happen. For example, the original order has Good Ending -> Bad Ending -> Credits (Good Ending) -> Credits (Bad Ending), and that could be reordered to be Bad Ending -> Credits (Bad Ending) -> Good Ending -> Credits (Good Ending). The Carlos Calaca Story (which occurs after you beat X'Tabay) is after the credits, and further after that is Back Story (a little Juan with a makeshift luchador mask, which occurs when you enter the Desert for the first time and get chicken'd). What do you think is a better order for the tracks? For maximum narrative and dramatic effect, of course.
Sequel time, seƱores!
You beat me to it.
Ay, mamita querida.
Wake me up at your own risk.I still haven't beaten the first game mainly because in an attempt to get the Golden Ending I'm stuck on that fucking jumping puzzle with all the platforms.
I keep meaning to play the first game, but...
What do you get when you mix El Santo, Metroidvania and Grim Fandango?
You get this:
