I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but could I get some recommendations for Pokémon fangames? I've played both Insurgence and Uranium, and also the first half an hour of Reborn before Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy settled in and I gave it up. Anybody knows any other games like those that are any good?

...and I just noticed that the thread hasn't seen any action since last year. Really should have paid attention to that before I asked...

Well, it's not as dead as the Visual Arts section. Anyway, you might want to try the Pokemon General Thread. It's more active and discussion of fangames does pop up there on occasion.

Well, THAT Was Some Mood Whiplash...

So, the Chosen One is now dead. That's kind of a problem.

Luckily, Ho-oh is on hand, so he's no longer dead.

Though there is the fact that he's now a Pokemon...

(AKA Ash died when he fell off the cliff in "A Guardian Rematch, got resurrected as a Marshadow, and still wants to be a Pokemon Master. Also Tapu Koko is even more of a stalker now, Arceus is not at all serious, and Kukui needs a freaking coffee.)

Note, this story borders very close to being a crack fic, but still is very serious at times. You have been warned.

Also, Major Character Death Warning! (Though they do get better, or else this would be a ridiculously sad oneshot...)

Let me know what you guys think. So far, Chapter 1 is finished with Chapter 2 set to come next week if writer's block doesn't smash me with a hammer

I've been redrawing some of my Fakemon lately, since the only digital images I had of some of them were vectors from my pre-tablet days. Some of them need an outright redesign. And while I've been working on my region for years, I've only recently nailed down just what its overarching theme is.

On the bright side, the fact that I'm noticing the flaws in what I had before is a sign that I'm improving!

Anyone else here making their own regions? I'm curious.

I've made pages for my two favourite fanfics of this year so far — Whispers of the Abyss, a PMD Elsewhere Fic about a team that gets to know each other inside a dungeon with extreme time dilation, and Intelligence Factor, a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine crossover that's basically a glorified headcanon dump, but a good one. I'd recommend reading these, and I'd appreciate it if other people added entries to their pages as well.

I've been in a Pokepasta mood since last night and honestly, if I was playing White 2 and the shit that went down in Reign of Sin happened to me I wouldn't be scared, I'd go "this is so badass I love video games" instead.

I love this one because at the climax of the story the guy's Emboar sacrifices itself to stop the weird Acid Kyurem thing and it makes him all sad and gives him a revelation of "wtf I love the Tepig line now?," I know I've been sounding kinda sarcastic but 10/10, please give Reign of Sin a read

Question: Was there some fic with evil Jirachi in prominent role?

I could swear I've seen that somewhere, but maybe not?
