No, it's clearly showing him being Obviously Evil. It works fine.
Rhymes with "Protracted."I like the current.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.There should be some juxtaposition with the "real" Hades aka the original Greek god who's just doing his job against the Disneyfied version so that people can see the differences between the two.
Nah, that doesn't seem necessary. It's all implied. Besides, the second image risks diluting focus and sending a mixed message. The page is great as is.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Devil's advocate: this trope is about the contrast between death gods original behavior and purpose and the way they're treated in extended media. Without a contrast in the pictures, it only shows half the trope, and thus leaves things open for Trope Decay (e.g. depictions of evil death gods for figures who were originally evil).
Ditto. I think an old fashioned Before-After might be in order
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Seems like overthinking it to me.*
If you have a better suggestion, let's see it; otherwise, not much to do here.

Rhymes with "Protracted."I think it's a good idea to show him in contrast with his non-evil mythological self.
For instance, this one from wikipedia◊.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! That would work fine for me.
The current image is also on Hijacked by Jesus, where it...doesn't belong. At all. In any way, shape or form.
Clock is set. The duplicate pic issue still needs to be addressed.
Clock's up. I pulled the pic from Hijacked by Jesus to resolve the duplicate pic issue with that page, but we still need to do something about this page.
I support showing both pictures, the Disney and the Wikipedia one, to demonstrate the contrast.

Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter! As do I.
How's this?
Keen.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
For a caption, maybe "It's easy to vilify a god you don't believe in." or "We are not amused."?
Either of those could work.
Nah, the caption should stay simple.
I do like the proposed image better than the current one, I think.

Rhymes with "Protracted."I think I like that better.
Bump, any other thoughts?
Hearing none, the comparison pic and caption are up and tagged. Locking up.
Although I think it's very pretty, the image from Disney's Hercules doesn't show how this is a non-evil god turned into a stand-in for the Christian Devil.
JAFAAC, motion to pull.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
