Any of the ones with the added magic effects would definitely work.
Reaction Image RepositoryI like rodney's take and the first one in .
Here is an option if you want the glowing to be a bit less dramatic.
Edit: Never mind, I don't like how those turned out. I'm going to try again.

Okay, maybe this. Messing around with the guy's eyes might also be an option if you want that. The one at the right just has some different contrast settings for some of the layers.

That is pretty sweet, but the buildings in the background are modern, not "Gaslamp Fantasy and Fantasy Counterpart Cultures with a Victorian-esque society". Even if it's arguably OK I don't think it feels right.
Dig. Less change to the image, but still very "wizardey".

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.True, but he's specifically designed to follow the trope. (Zatarra's history is weird. As comics go. He was designed in the 30s)
That specific image looks a bit like him getting bubbled by somebody else. Something that is more clear on the fact that he is the one doing magic would be better.
What series is he from,anyway?
That image is from Young Justice

Auxdarastrix's image is Copyrighted btw. Just saying. Also croping the artist' signature out? Not cool.

Aw man, I really liked that one too.
A different image of Zatara might work.

Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter! Some Tyki Mikk: 1◊, 2◊, attempt at brightening up of #2◊. How do these look (#2 would have to be photoshopped upright)
Why would it have to be rotated?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Doesn't it look weird at 45 angle? (Also it would be a better fit for the illustration, showing less of pointless landscape)

Yes.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Right...
So, I can do the rotation with what I have, but can't fill up the missing corners (mainly upper right, lower left can be cut off)

I've seen threads where a similar thing was done with Deviant Art images to make them fit the size requirement. I figured we could ask the artist for permission. I should have mentioned that part, but I wanted to make sure it was workable first. Sorry.

Dang, I was afraid that might have been a DA work...yeah, fair use allows us to take parts of a multi-section work like a comic but we can't use or make significant changes to a single-part work without getting permission from the artist. In that case, I like the last Tyki Mykk (sp?) suggestion.
Well, if we can get permission for it, I think it would work.
Reaction Image RepositoryShould I leave a comment asking, or should we just go with the other suggestion?
