Give me cute or give me...something?the most logical thing is kart racing or party game
that it self it still be awkward consider sony ip is ranging from childish thing like LBP to mature one like Go W
^I think that would be a good thing. I mean, you can't claim that juxtaposition wouldn't be hilarious.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyParty game maybe, but Mod Nation Racers already has Kratos, Drake and Ratchet & Clank playable. I don't think Sony is too keen on devouring those sales with a redundant IP.
How about an RPG? Would that be too strange?
I think a crossover like this would most likely be a fighting game, but probably an original one as opposed to a Smash Bros. clone like I've heard people theorize. And on that note, I'd love a Sony vs. Capcom. Kratos vs. Asura!
You guys like Let's Plays? You guys like shameless plugs? Well, come on down!If it were a fighting game, I'd have trouble seeing it as a standard 2-D plane fighter, especially since so many of these characters don't have a gameplay style at all like that (aside from Kazuya, who comes from another company anyway). It's probably more likely to be a third-person battle game, taking place in large arenas. Kind of like Armored Core, Dissidia or Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi.
You could have brawlers, shooters, heavy-arsenal destroyers, stealthy assassins or tricksters/trappers and the like.
Personally, I think a Sony Smash Bros. clone wouldn't be too bad. Especially if they repeat Nintendo's recipe of Mythology-Gag-The-Game-As-A-Fighting-Game.
Especially if I can have Lightning vs. Kratos vs. Cole vs. Sly on a LittleBigPlanet stage.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Porting this over from another thread:
For a Smash Bros-ish, I came up with a tonsome ideas for a mission mode, a mix of Brawl's Challenges and Event Matches, dubbed Trials Mode. It would store both in-game achievements and special missions on one menu. (Characters/Stages spoken of are not reflective of content I would want in the (possibly) actual game. Just me thinking of things to do if given the choice of any character.) (Missions will be marked with a M):
Gang's all here: Unlock all fighters.
World Tour: Unlock all stages.
Striking twice (M): Beat a team of Cole and Lightning.
Cleaning House: (Drake-specific) find 3 pieces of treasure on any stage.
It Only Does Everything: Win a match only using one attack.
Crash Bash: Play a 4p match with everyone as Crash.
[LittleBigBrawl]: Play a 4p match with everyone as Sackboy.
Futile: Lose a match on a Resistance stage.
Losing Your Voice: Play on a Sing Star stage 10 times in a row.
Save the Empire (M): (Cole-specific) Prevent damage to an Empire City stage for 2 mins.
Closing the Book: Clear a possible Story Mode.
Dragon Problems (M): Fight a giant Spyro.
A Song of Fire and Ice (M): Fight a team of Parappa, Spyro and Kuo.
The End is Near (M): (Kratos-specific) Beat a Zeus boss on only one life.
Playstation Heroes (M): Fight a team of Sly, Jak and Ratchet.
Slow and Steady (M): (Bentley-specific) Win a 1 minute match with the fighting on slow-mo.
Crash of the Titans: Play as Crash on a Shadow of the Colossus stage.
Team Ico (M): Fight a team of Ico and Wander.
Reliving the Classics (M): Fight a match of randomly chosen characters that had a game on the PS One.
Pew-Pew Train: (Cole-specific) Play as Cole on a stage based on the train fight scene of Uncharted 2.
Not Interested (M): (Lightning-specific) Fight Drake on a stage based on the bar in the Micheal ad.
I'll bring up some more and some stages a little later.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Kotaku has published a story about possibilities for the Title Fight roster
I like what I see, but the lack of Legend Of Dragoon, Primal, Folklore, Bushido Blade, Arc The Lad, Wild Arms and Dark Cloud representation disturbed me.
Anyway, here's the characters they thought of that I missed here:
- Captain Blasto from Blasto (I didn't include this with respect to Phil Hartman)
- Colonel Radec
- Devil from Devil Dice
- Echochrome guy (I'm not convinced this fellow would work in a fighter; what would he do, solve the enemy?)
- Fat Princess (I still think a unit of classes would make more sense than the princess herself)
- Loco Roco
- Mark Hammond
- Norman Jayden
- PaRappa (I actually didn't think this guy would work in a fighter until I heard he'd made the cut; thus, he became a stage instead)
- Tomba (I was going to put him in myself later, but it turns out he's owned by GungHo Online despite Sony securing the rights to release his game on the PSN)
- Specter
- Vibri
- Wander (truth be told, I'm not all that familiar with this game so I wasn't sure how it would integrate into a fighter; thus its exclusion)
Others:
- Gitaroo Man (this fellow is owned by Koei, so I don't know what that editor was thinking)
- Kazuma Kiryu (same as above, except he's own by Sega)
- Klonoa (Namco owns this one)
- Nemesis (Capcom owns this guy)
P.S: would it be possible to change the title of the thread? Rumors have been going around for over a month, and we even have a confirmed developer. I think this has left the stage of "What If."

Not so sure about that roster. Why Nemesis out of all RE characters? And I just finished reading an interview with Sven (an important Capcom employee), and one of the questions was if a Capcom character would appear in the rumored Sony Smash Bros. game. Sven said that they would have to have Sony come to them first rather than them coming to Sony, and it doesn't sound like that happened.
You guys like Let's Plays? You guys like shameless plugs? Well, come on down!I hope if Capcom does get a rep, they pick Dante: he and Kratos need to settle their score (it's the 3rd-Person Action game equivalent of Sonic vs. Mario).
I suppose the point is moot anyway: Crash, Spyro, Snake and Cloud are the most likely licensed fighters, and from what you're saying Capcom won't be appearing at all.
let see since we have limited number i say 1 for each IP
Rumored:
-Nathan Drake
-Kratos
-Radec
-Sly
-Parappa
-Fat Princes
-Sweat Tooth
Wishlist:
-Neafarious/qwark (not ratchet because it similar to Jak and we need some villain)
-Spencer (ape Escape)
-Jak
-Ico (some move can be mix with wander like bow or Dormin Form also somthing realted to shadow.)
-Sackboy
-Kessler
-Noriko
-Leonard
-Daniel Fortesque
-Dart (legend of dragon)
-Patapon
-character from Wild Arm
-Villain From Genji (since he seem cooler than MC :P)
-Invizimal Monster
Joke Character:
-Kevin butler with Move
-Red Bull X2011/GT by Citroën/Nike ONE
-Wipeout Ship
-random MLB character
-Journey Girl
-jumping Flash
Third Party stuff (one for every major plubliser)
-Capcom: Wesker/Dante
-Activision: James Bond (well since technically they own game right :P)
-Valve: Cheel
-Take Two: Subject Delta
-Ubisoft: Ezio
-EA: isaac
-Sega: Kazuma Kiryu
-SQE: Cloud
-Konami: Snake
-NB: Klonoa

I have my doubts Genji will be a character. Much more likely a stage, with a Giant Enemy Crab.
Similar for the Invizamals. The card moves around, and it reveals a creature that starts attacking you.
As for a villain, we already know the main villain. The only one that would make sense in the context - its Calypso
ah forgot to add toro and taro. maybe polygon man
You have played Genji though, right? It's a third-person action game with some relatively long combo-potential. It's one of the few exclusives in Sony's library that lends itself well to a fighter.
Yes, but its also not that good a series.
It still has it's fans. You can't be picky with this sort of roster; you need to pull from as many franchises as possible to make it work.
And what the hell do you mean by "this sort of roster"?
Title Fight or whatever it's going to be called. The doubters think the Playstation brand can't hold itself up on it's first-party characters. That's why I'm saying it's better to draw on the Ensemble Dark Horse factor of including franchises from all across the map. Those fans will surely support anything that acknowledges their favorite obscure game.
Okay, so the most recent interviews from Superbot have confirmed that Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale (PSASBR as I'll call it) will definitely have third-party characters. Sony being a Japanese company means Japanese characters from Square Enix, Konami or Namco are a possibility, but the developer being American might make that difficult, so I'll be looking to American companies/subsidiaries.
- 2K Games/Take-Two Interactive: Subject Delta, Nameless GTA5 Protagonist
- EA: Isaac Clarke
- Eidos Interactive: Laura Croft (they may be owned by Squeenix, but they seem to be fine with leaving Eidos to their own devices)
- Sierra/Activision: Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon
- Ubisoft: Connor Kenway/Ratohnhaké:ton

After Sony's "Michael" commercial, plenty of Sony fans were speculating on a Playstation Massive Multiplayer Crossover. Please put forth your thoughts and suggestions on the Roster for such a game. Here's what I've thought of so far:
Characters:
3rd Party Licensed Characters:
Stages/Levels:
Pretty much any game you see here is fair game to appear in a crossover.
Note that such a game probably wouldn't be a kart-racer or plat-former, since downloadable costume packs already let you do that in Little Big Planet and Mod Nation Racers.
PS: I'm aware Sony doesn't actually own most of the studios that developed these (Insomniac and Game Republic for instance), but they did publish all of them. That should be enough.
