Oh, she died even faster than I expected. I expected her to die midway through the episode, not before it even began.
Narukami is talking like a normal person now. Much less awkward to watch
Now I'm a bit worried that it will be too formulatic, go in, face perconal issues, escape, in every episode.
Though there aren't enough characters for that, so it mut be something different.
I wouldn't call him normal.
There's also the ongoing investigation of the murders. Given that there's been a dead body per episode so far, I'd be surprised if the series didn't rack up more of a body count as it goes along.

I'm loving how this series is shaping up.
And am I alone in saying that the OP and ED deserve to be called C Mo A's?
Saw episode two. I still don't know how Maincharacterguy (can't remember his name yet, it takes me a few episodes of a show for the names to stick in my head) magically knew how to use his Persona power, but I think I get what it means now. The idea is that the main character already understands himself, so he can use the power from the start.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.
Hmm...
MC upon seeing the card
MC: What? This is me? My power? How? Should I crush it? I think so? Maybe I should also yell...
MC: PERSONA!
Izanagi Appears
XD
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuJust discovered Hulu (as in, this very night), so I'm looking forward to watching this.
This is going to be weird for me—I've been spoiled on parts of the game, but I know nothing about other parts. (I also watched part of an LP of the game, and was absolutely blown away by the cutscenes, but for some reason, every LP I've found of it has been left unfinished.)
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulGiant Bomb did a LP and finished it.... 155 parts .

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!There's a 123 part LP in the archive
. . . How the hell did I miss ? Must be a recent addition. (There wasn't one there when I finished reading My Life Is A Goddamn Mess.)

Though My Life Is A Goddamn Mess is three years old...
It's a fairly recent addition to the archive, although it was up on SA until recently. It's a great LP though, and has a lot of little extras such as mythology information and tactics suggestions.
Also it contains a complete discussion of the meaning of every Arcana and this◊.

deviantArt | TwitterSeconding Raso's Giant Bomb recommendation. The commentators are hilarious.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.^^I would kill to see that. KILL.
Adachi and Dojima shooting up a shadow infested Inaba.
Yes.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.......That was so awesome that I don't know what to say.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I like the aesthetics of the fight with Yosuke's shadow.
The way the room fell apart and turned into a studio set is a really cool reference to the game's battles.

Umbran Climax◊Anybody know when we can expect the next episode?
Or what the schedule is?
I'm a newb at the culture and architecture of streaming anime.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter. They come out on a weekly schedule just like any other TV show. If you know what day of the week it comes out on, you can make sure you're caught up.
I forget what day it is, though.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone. It airs on Fridays at 1:30 AM. That's Japanese time of course. I don't know what timezone you're in, but that's about 2.5 days from now.
I think I hope that the plot doesn't spend too long having everyone get their personas. And I also wonder how long the anime is supposed to be if a full episode can be devoted to something that was probably a pretty minor event in the game.
Going back to the question posed at the top of the thread - I can tell you that at the very least you don't need to have played Persona 4 to appreciate the anime, at least based on the first episode. Admittedly, I have played Persona 3, so I can't say for sure how much more WTF is involved if you're not familiar with some of the basic game concepts.
I guess we'll find out.
