Do we really need this?: Turn On Tropes

I don't get what purpose this index serves. It's basically Fetish Fuel in disguise and we got rid of that. Also, if we cut Depressing Tropes for being too subjective and useless as a page we should cut this page. This also feels like a duplicate of the Rule of Sexy index but with a bunch of creepy stuff thrown in (Brother–Sister Incest? EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!).

Yeah, I made this when FF still allowed examples. But even if we keep this, some should be dropped, and I cut two of the incest tropes already.

No. First off, the index was here, and called this, a long time before Fetish Fuel was trashed.

Second, sex and Fanservice are very much tropable. And yes, some of the tropes are squicky.

Third, "because Fetish Fuel was trashed, we should trash this too" is not a good argument for building consensus, since there wasn't a consensus to trash Fetish Fuel in the first place.

@DQZ: You cut tropes from an index without asking anyone? I was under the impression that that was a no-no. Incest is often explicitly played for Fanservice, believe it or not.

If a trope doesn't fit on an index, it can be cut. In this case, those could fit, but it was making the list teeter on Not Safe for Work (and the Google policy would mean big trouble if that went too far).

As for Fetish Fuel examples being cut, it WAS given consensus, on a crowner to cut examples from pages, and FF was one of the ones with enough votes (this was before the decision to cut Troper Tales entirely).
