Letting planes spray ordinary water vapor while they prepare their alliance with the lizard people underground...
Crypto-currency.
Pinky and the Brain.
Do it.
The first 3 scripts have been completed.
The sibling and Pinky segments in particular I think feel like great nods to the original series, and with the sibling segments in particular, the spirit of anarchy remains strong. I think the visual aspect of the show will reflect this as well: the character designs are very similar, but with just a little cleaning up to reflect the present era.
We have the benefit in 2018 of having seen this amazing Renaissance of sketch comedy (Key & Peele, Portlandia) and an entire universe of weird, cool, smart animation, so the trick is doing something that takes advantage of our vantage point while making something that is still recognizably Animaniacs. I don’t look at our series as a reboot as much as I do a continuation. I hope people like it and find joy in watching it.
I’m certain there will be people who love this new version and I’m equally certain that there will be people who hate it with a passion simply because it exists at all.
I don’t know what to say to this latter group, but I can say that all the writers are doing great work and that everyone involved–from Amblin to Warners to Hulu to the entire production staff–cares deeply about getting this right. A lot of us grew up watching the original series and so we’re not just cavalierly storming in and drastically changing things because we can. We’re making Animaniacs for sure, and we’re making it for our adult selves as well as future generations who haven’t seen the original as well as everyone in between who loved what the original stood for.
Animation production begins very soon and then we’ll really be off to the races.
Btw, Rob Paulsen shared this on his Twitter, but I didn't want to get any hopes up since that isn't a 100% confirmation that he's coming (though I'd love if that would happen).

Exciting stuff. Nice that we have word that they're actively working to stay true to the original series. Can't wait to see more!
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."It took me a few moments to realize the "sibling" series is referring to the Warners.
I'm glad Rob Paulsen is now taking on more senior positions, like directing the actors in the latest TMNT show.
Update: Karl Hadrika has recently confirmed that he'll be a storyboard guy on the new Animaniacs.
Not sure what his references are, but good for him!
The more crew members are announced, the more excited I get. Except for the showrunner, all these choices are great!
Bit of a late news thing, but it turns out that back in April of this year, she would not be on the show, citing that "negotiations didn't work out."
We still got Katie Rice, so let's chin up!
Awwwww. :(
Mighty Magiswords creator Kyle A. Carrozza is doing freelancing storyboards for Animaniacs.
Some of his first animation was on the original show, so good for him - his career's come full circle.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Yes! And
I didn't know that!
He supposedly did some inbetweening at Startoons on "Bully for Skippy," but he's not sure how much of what he did is still in the cartoon.

From those who bought a copy of Rob Paulsen's autobiography (Voice Lessons), he and the rest of the principle voice cast of the 1993 Animaniacs series will return for the 2020 series . Given that Rob himself retweeted the message, that's pretty much a confirmation that it's true.
Maurice La Marche even responded, so I'm pretty sure that's a safe yes.

Too bad its a Hulu exclusive
New theme music also a boxHow are they going to bring back Rita (From the Rita Runt segments)? From what I heard, Rita didn't show up in the later seasons due to Bernadetta Peter's high demand.
Are they bringing Rita back? (And I heard it was a matter of availability.)
With the various streaming services being announced, I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up on HBO Max like the new Loony Tunes will be, instead of Hulu. Hulu is being taken over by Disney, and they seem to be positioning it as the R/TV-MA rated counterpart to Disney+.
I hope this somehow brings back Freakazoid. Like, just a cameo. I always head-cannoned that he and the Warners were in the same universe.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Isn't he confirmed to be in the same universe though?
He should also have had a crossover with The Mask.
I like to keep my audience riveted.Warner Bros. doesn't own the rights to The Mask's cartoon.
Freakazoid was a sister series produced by Amblin Entertainment and WB, just like Animaniacs, so they could legally crossover whenever they felt like it.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I always thought a Freakazoid webseries without more adult-directed humor would be perfect.
Like, imagine Freakazoid's Guide To The Internet.
Come to think of it, Freakazoid was Deadpool for kids before Deadpool became Deadpool.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.
Notable to me: Pinky and the Brain
I have to know what hi-jinks they get up to. Hypnotizing smart phone apps that make you support Brain Notamouse's Patreon? Streaming services that trick you into binging forever? Etc?
