I know they get a lot of flack (Corrupt Corporate Executive) anyone? - but I do believe personally that there is alot of truth in the this negative categorization. The most important thing that companies focus on is profit and being ahead of the competition. As long as no one catches on or finds out, an unsafe product (not accidental) or an ethically questionable method may continue. Companies that do consider the needs of the customers (and the employees) only do so because of direct intervention and potential loss of money and work from reform groups or union demands.
