And lo and behold it is a significant number in Buddhism! Just it was 8 and not 3. 8 would've been my second bullshit guess!

And what's eight minus three? Five. I rest my case.

Wow, did NOT know there was math in this thread.

I wonder how desperate and depressed a person has to be in order to overcome massive horror that is death and off himself.

Necro.

I just remembered a scene from UP, where it is implied that Ellie either is sterile or went through miscarriage.

I wonder what makes miscarriage so devastating to women. What does it mean to them?

I mean, it is really obvious that they are very painful experience and I definitely feel sorry for anyone who went through it, be it fictional or real. It's just that why it is like that I have no idea because it is kind of experience that I will never understand due to being a male.

It can sorta be understood. It's less of being sterile, and more of the fact that it conflicts with your desire to have kids. If you want kids, then not being able to have them is a big deal regardless of gender/sex.

I think people probably get upset because their child just died.

You don't have to be a woman to be upset about that.

Death it's just a heartache for the ones around, for the deceased, it's nothing hurtful itself, whether it exists a heaven or not.

The Paranoia Fuel it's just a thing that will assault you just before, if you are even aware you are going to die, but then doesn't matter...

In fact, people who are long time aware that their death can be closer than it seems ends up admitting it as a matter of fact and don't think about it at all, such as old people and soldiers and the stuff...

Death is only an issue for us, young people, who are afraid of our lives being wasted.

Hmmm. I'm starting to get a little less blasé about my own death now that I have a wife and we're planning a family.

Responsibilities, eh?

Before? Nice and heroic, like. Either in combat or while rescuing others.

These days? Quietly, while I sleep in front of the fire on an Autumn evening, many years from now, in the same hour as my wife.

It's not that I especially value my life or anything, but I still want to live because that means I'd get to make more people happy and certain other people would be sad if I died, so yay!

Oh, and living by itself can be pretty cool too. xD
