I coulda swore we'd had a previous thread about this one, but nothing came up...at any rate:
Motion to pull
JAFAAC
Here's an image from the same movie (Mulholland Drive) with the same characters, I think it should be clear enough?

Definite improvement.
I know there has to be a good shot from The L Word, which has a ton of examples of this trope, but I can't find it. There are posters from Tanya Chalkin that come to mind. 1◊, 2◊, 3◊.

The first one is okay, but the second one doesn't show enough of the women's style to define them as lipstick lesbians. The one on the right particularly looks kinda androgynous, she could even be a butch.
I'm going to go with the one in Post 3. I'm not sold on the poster or the rearview mirror, and in the 2nd one, one of the girls looks sort of like a boy. I'm not averse to them, necessarily, I just prefer the one in Post 3.
Wow, ninjas.

Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am...I may be biased because I love Mulholland Drive, but I think the one in post 3 is perfect.
This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish.Post 3 one is probably the best so far.
Reaction Image RepositoryI also think post 3 is excellent.
Jet-a-Reeno!For the record, helterskelter's pics would be decent for an Image Links page, but post 3 is my vote for the page pic...a couple more yeas and we can run with it.
Liking post 3.
Fight smart, not fair.Post 3 is very good.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickPost 3 indeed.
Okay, I changed the pic to the new Mulholland Drive one. I also removed the caption, as it was just a pointless trope link (Girl on Girl Is Hot) that's already in the main text. If anyone can come up with a new, wittier caption, feel free to add it there.
I don't really think a caption's necessary for this one.
I don't know if this counts as a confirmation of post 3's victory, but when I looked at the pic and saw that there was an Image-Pickin', I thought "What the %@!# is wrong with people? This pic is perfect!" Then I realized that I'd been edit-ninja'd by all of you (I guess that's what happens when I'm not a ninja, but just a samurai).
Edit: as for a caption, I think one would be good. How about: "Now if you didn't see them kissing, would you know either one was a lesbian?" or something to that effect.

"Come for the lesbians, stay for the Mind Screw." ?
I don't think a caption adds anything to the picture.
Belief or disbelief rests with you. That caption would be better for the image on Mulholland Drive's own page, it has nothing to do with the trope. I agree that a caption isn't really needed there.
Since this has languished for so long, I think we can safely call it for no caption and lock this up.

Similar to the Butch Lesbian discussion going on right now, this doesn't look so much like lesbians as it does two random pretty women. I understand that a Lipstick Lesbian is supposed to be feminine, but it should still show (or at least imply) that they're lesbians.
