Now that we have a Seven Sins thread, what is the Heavenly Virtue you feel you express the most?

Please state the list you're going by; it can either be the Seven ones, the four cardinal ones, etc.

Ugh... I forgot all these and we just learned them last year. WHY!

Can we put a list in the OP for those of us who are too lazy to look? tongue

I suppose Temperance for me. The whole "restraint" thing works nicely with my Sloth vice. [lol]

Chastity works too.

I think I would best represent chastity and charity the most of all the virtues.

Patience would be the main one for me.

Yes, so much patience at times.

I know there was a thread on this in Yack Fest, but I can't find anything about "virtues" in a forum search.

I don't think you can claim chastity if you aren't getting any due to circumstance rather than choice tongue

I would say patience is my only real virtue

[up]Felt the same way, then added Chastity as an afterthought because it does fit me as being a choice and there are other qualities attributed to Chastity that fit me.

Kindness, maybe? I certainly value it in principle, whether or not I actually live up to it.

I can't recall any of the Christian lists by memory so I'll go with The Brahmavihara, one of Buddhism's two sets of virtues. The later one The Ten Qualities include The Brahmavihara along with six others needed for Enlightenment.

So. BRAHMAVIHARA. They are empathetic joy, equanimity, loving kindness, and compassion/mercy. I respect all of these highly. I suppose I would say that loving kindness is what I best represent out of these though I could do much more in that category and the other three.

Quick List of the Seven Heavenly Virtues (and the Sins they oppose), although the list is different depending on who you ask.

Chastity (Lust)

Temperance (Gluttony)

Charity (Greed)

Diligence (Sloth)

Patience (Wrath)

Kindness (Envy)

Humility (Pride)

Wow I am none of those. To be honest, I like the sins better, so I'll stick with them.

Hell I'm already going to hell in three religions. I'm actually aiming for 5, so I need to step up my game.

KINDNESS. Or maybe patience.

^^ I guess I've changed my mind since I posted in that thread—I now think I'm more humble than I thought I was then (in the sense that I've realized just how much I beat myself up for my failings and weaknesses.) I'll grant that I'm not pure, though, and I might not be considered charitable, depending on how it's defined (I judge other people harshly when they fail to fulfill their own standards.)

Probably Compassion, Charity, Then temperance, in that order. Balancing out Sloth, Jealousy, and Wrath.

Kindness (When people don't piss me off I'm usually eager to help) and generosity (when I've got stuff, I typically share it with those I give a damn about).

No, and valuing kindness wouldn't make me not a prick.
