Probably not, no; they're an exceedingly insular and xenophobic bunch, so they aren't the sort to get involved with other races unless it is absolutely necessary or it involves something that they would not be able to accomplish under their own power.
You'll see why once the article is up, I think.
The Danse Macabre CodexWe should have a sliding scale of xenophobia for this universe.
Well, the article's up; a little sparse at the moment, but it gets the major differences between it and the Ark reach Overcolony across fairly well, I think.
The Danse Macabre CodexYay, I may not be the smallest nation anymore.
The Imago don't like people colonising their worlds. Even if the Korpers aren't the Usurpers, the Imago don't like rapidly-increasing population groups within their colonies if only because it makes them hard to maintain and control properly. They'd turn them down politely, so long as it wasn't anywhere in the Astriy system. They tried to land there, they'd be up to their ears in heavily armed Bannermen before they could say hello. Ditto for any large and/or unscheduled movement to one of the Home Fleets. Landing on a Imago ship without permission is usually considered a boarding action and unless clearly unwarranted boarders are usually shot on sight.
If they are the Usurpers, they'd be given one warning before they landed, then if they did land they'd be shot on sight.
"One thing, though- apparently the eldest goat is the bastard child of Muhammad Ali and the Hulk." ~ Exelixi, on The Three Billy Goats Gruff.How do they feel about international charity networks that aim at building a support network for the downtrodden and help them towards building better lives for themselves? Granted they hand out pamphlets now and then about Jesus and Good will towards all but don't force the issues at food drives.
Most xenophobic to least:
SAD - NAH - Kin/Molo'Qraaat/Verandi/Lancel/Korpers(all kinda neutral) - Imago/Rhodes(xenophilic)
@ Eventua: They're xenophobic to the extreme, and have the largest population in the galaxy. They don't want or need free labor.
@ Parable: That's very true, and the current situation I based slightly off isolationist China, when it only had three ports for trading, everywhere else was "shoot foreigners on sight".

Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Attempting to expand the backstory of my ambassador.
Lesson of the Day: When the common folk are starting to revolt, putting one of them in charge of your planet's armed forces may not be the best idea. Stuart was made Captain of the Guard, head of the Planetary Guard of his world, as a concession to revolutionaries before the war. He tried to keep the peace between radicals and conservatives but the nobility's constant criticisms and disrespect made him sour towards his patrons. When the war started he arranged with the revolutionary leaders to arrest the lord who ruled the planet (also the one who had gotten Stuart his job in the first place) as well as the rest of the Imperial leadership.
Parable, can we get a link to the latest Galactic Map?
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Updated map is on the way, but before I revamp the thing I feel the need to point out to everybody that Ambassador Tyrir was lying about needing to bring a whole fleet to the Cradle to preserve the balance.
The Cradle is the purple on in the center of the current map.◊ It is right next to SAD space.
Somehow, none of us noticed this.
To avoid making our ambassadors look like galactic dummies, the revamped map will put the Cradle deeper into Lancel space.
None of them even blinked. Tyrir is a fucking mastermind.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Tyrir: 1
Everybody Else: -5
Tyrir is like my favourite character in this.
Ah, understood. Korper populations on other worlds would be highly unlikely for now.
@Axes: Okay then, good to know. Personally, I like the idea of the korpers having been the Usurpers, 'cept that their short lifespans + being bombed to the brink of extinction kind of gave them a species wide amnesia, maybe.
@rabbit: Too be honest, Karnis are probably more xenophobic than the SAD, considering that they've been launching full blown raids against military and civilian ships: against the Verandi and Karada. Bi'Iveguv Karnis and 'is' Black Legion hate the squishy Ooh'Man Off'Gits as they call them: they see them as a race of weak, ugly, interfering, cowardly abominations who are meddling in things that don't belong to them.

Ah, but, eh...! The Karnis and the Karada are scattered around each other! D:
They can't just be located 'to the left' because their star systems are all scattered around. Heck, some of them share star systems, with the Karnis owning one planet and the Karada owning another. :/
SOCR said previously that she didn't want nations overlapping. In any event the Karada stars are already next to Verandi but waaay off from NAH or Euralian, even if I squish them all together you're still only next to me.
Might I ask which colours are which?
"One thing, though- apparently the eldest goat is the bastard child of Muhammad Ali and the Hulk." ~ Exelixi, on The Three Billy Goats Gruff.Green => SAD
Teal => Euralians
Blue=> Lancel
Yellow => verandi
Red => NAH
Grey => Lobsters
Orange => Kin
Purple and all other races are still under construction.
You can't prove I ever posted that.

Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Actually, the Kin are orange, rabbit; the Molo'Qraaat are the grey ones.
The Danse Macabre CodexUpdated Map◊. Now has the names of all active nations. Circle around star designates the capital.
I think I should remind Rasse called Tyrir out on his "Pull a whole fleet in here" deal, and I haven't been able to respond to the latest exchange.
also NAH border policy... Xenos are not allowed on their worlds. At all. There are trading stations, but only about a dozen, and only allowed in territories designated Marches, where you need to deal with the policies of the March Lord, and the Baron who runs the station.
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?But she called him out on it being a peace conference, not the SAD's proximity to the station. And then the issue got pulled in a different direction.
Heh, the Dotur and the NAH have such similar policies. They could be friends, if those exact same policies weren't actually xenophobic.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.She called him out still, was the thing lol. You don't think she'd try every argument in her arsenal?
Also I'm still holding out hope they can get along lol. Rasse would like to make personal friends even through incompatible diplomatic relations. Just depends on how Tyrir sees it.
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?
Sullen: Do the Solar Dominion guys have a representative on the Cradle? Not that he has to communicate with the others or anything but just being there.
The SAD is more like China, they don't need to import workers since they have a million extra.
Coming for vacation in fine, co-inhabiting worlds would probably be something we'd be working out here on the Cradle.
Also, reviewing prior history and world building, Karnis is going to have to be on the left side of Karada. Which means Karada and Verandi are the ones dealing with them.
